Although there is no way to officially know, but my observation of passenger flow:
Elevated (Green/Orange) - Heavy use until midnight, both directions
Subway (Red) - Heavy use both directions until midnight, heavy use continued until 1am Northbound.
So what did we learn...? Honestly, not much - the CTA planned for extra service, yet couldn't even provide what was on a normal schedule - leaving thousands of #Swifties tired, confused and stranded on platforms while being screamed at by 'security officers'.
This is NOT how a transit system should work, and it is a small fraction of the reason why groups like @ctaaction sadly have to exist - we will continue to advocate for better work conditions for our Rail and Bus operators, which will invoke better service throughout the system.
Last night was only the first of three for the #Swiftie migration - and it was nothing short of a disaster. I don't have high hopes, but maybe - just maybe - the @cta learned things last night to carry through the rest of the weekend.

Today @matt_weiss_ and I are going to attempt the unofficial @cta 'L' Challenge! The goal is to visit all 145 CTA stations as fast as possible. I'll be documenting the excursion via this Twitter thread, so check back here as we progress through the system! #MBLrun
Due to construction and station closures at Berwyn and Lawrence on the Red line, we will have doors open at 143 stations in the network. This will still qualify under Class A for the record keepers: bmcfadden.me/43DMMxa
We are officially underway at 09:10:00 exactly! Departing from Polk station on Pink Line Run #308, headed outbound towards 54th & Cermak! Scheduled Time: 09:09:30 #MBLrun

“We got our asses killed last night, so they actually got us some extra people tonight” - CTA Employee on site
North run #930 (one of the extras) just departed the center interlocking at 63rd, #932 soon to follow - clearly focusing on Northbound Red Line tonight!
This added capacity on the Blue had to come from somewhere - curious how your line is impacted from these additional runs on the Blue? Check out these images or visit brandonmcfadden.com/cta-reliability - Scheduled Trips
