#sakuatsu where atsumu's phone wallpaper was something nobody expected it to be. it wasn't a sweet photo of the couple, nor was it a landscape, and it wasn't atsumu's face on it.

instead, it was a stolen photo of kiyoomi, freshly awaken from slumber.

he had drool on his face, his eyes squinting at the sun, and his hair all over the place.

it wasn't the prettiest kiyoomi in the world and komori tried his absolute best to not laugh when he saw it. suna actually guffawed, and osamu just scoffed.

however, when they asked why atsumu had chosen that one instead of a hundred others of kiyoomi and atsumu locking hands on a sunset, or kiyoomi looking at atsumu with the world in his eyes, atsumu only pointed to kiyoomi.

"show them yers, omi."

kiyoomi's phone wallpaper wasn't the default system wallpaper and it wasn't just a black screen either.

it was a blurred photo of atsumu running, panic in his eyes, a frying pan in his hand, and his mouth open wide as if he was screaming.

this time, komori, suna, and osamu laughed heartily, finding that photo to be quite entertaining and the winner of the funniest wallpaper in the world competition.

"no seriously, why are ya guys using that? after atsumu demanded me to take nice photos of ya at the farm?"

suna asked, still chuckling in between sentences.

kiyoomi, who didn't care they laughed, and atsumu, who was annoyed at his family, then looked at each other, before deciding to spill the beans.

"there was a spider on the wall that day," kiyoomi started,

looking back to the other three, his demeanor changing from nonchalant to serious, komori, suna, and osamu stopped laughing to listen.

"and this one volunteered to trap it and i thought it was stupid so i recorded." kiyoomi even coughed a laugh while recalling a memory.

"the spider jumped then he jumped so i jumped and we ran out of the room and then we laughed because a spider defeated us."

that story was met with three bewildered looks.

"what? when i see that photo, it reminds me how stupid atsumu is and.." kiyoomi trailed off and smiled,

"that i love him for it. all his stupid ideas. and that photo reminds me of how much he does for me and how atsumu makes me the happiest." kiyoomi didn't look at anybody then, feeling shy of his confession.

and then atsumu talked.

"i was surprising omi with breakfast in bed."

atsumu looked in front, only to find raised eyebrows at him.

"oy 'samu why is yer face like that?! i cook good too, ya know that!"

"i didn't say anything ya scrub!"

"yer eyes were sayin' otherwise, scrub!"

"oh we're never going to hear the end of this story." komori grumbled,

but atsumu heard it and so he stopped fighting with his twin. he'll just continue that later.

"so as i was sayin', 'twas early morning and omi-omi isn't an early riser unlike me so i made him coffee and toast and then he woke up like that." atsumu smiled wide at his story,

thinking it was enough of an explanation but a smack on his head from 'samu told him it wasn't.

"ow! i'm going ta kill ya 'samu!"

"tell yer story better!"

"fine!" atsumu rolled his eyes, smacked osamu for revenge, and then talked some more.

"'twas quite a sight ya know? omi is usually well kept but he was a grumpy mess when he woke up but all i thought was i wanted ta see that same face everyday for the rest of my life."

that explanation was met with tender silence.

"so i snapped a photo,

"so i get reminded of what i have and what i want in my life everyday."

a beat passed before suna broke the loving aura that surrounded them.

"yer both still ugly in those." suna said, osamu followed with a laugh, and komori shook his head.

but really, they understood.

those weren't the prettiest photos, and it won't win awards, but it's a reminder of how much atsumu and kiyoomi loved each other. whether it be in their stupidest, their ugliest, or in their most vulnerable.

and if you ask them, those were the best photos kiyoomi and atsumu had of each other...yet.

they have many more years to get through and many more unplanned photos to capture.
