The Press statement by the NDC was unfortunate and it appears not to be deep. I am not sure it is a reflection of deep thinking. - Henry Nana Boakye, National Organizer, NPP #PMExpress
Both our candidates are from Assin and far above 21. They are all Ghanaians who don't hold dual citizenship. We have not made any application to the EC for a transfer of votes or the gentleman in question. - Henry Nana Boakye, National Organizer, NPP #PMExpress
He did not vote in Assin North in the 2020 elections but he is a registered voter. - Henry Nana Boakye, National Organizer, NPP #PMExpress
When I saw this statement, I was surprised this was coming from the main opposition. This doesn't hinge on any law and appears to be speculation. - Henry Nana Boakye, National Organizer, NPP #PMExpress
The NDC's statement is very simple. As we speak we have 20 clear days to the by-elections and the said individual voted in Tarkwa Nsuem constituency. He has never been a voter in Assin North. - Mustapha Gbande, Dep. Gen. Sec, NDC #PMExpress
Is the NPP presenting a candidate who himself will not vote and yet expected to be voted for? - Mustapha Gbande, Dep. Gen. Sec, NDC #PMExpress

You cannot release a press statement and accuse the EC and the NPP of being in bed to transfer the vote of a candidate illegally. - Henry Nana Boakye, National Organizer, NPP #PMExpress
This is not the first time we have presented a candidate who is not illegible to vote in that constituency. It happened in Kumawu and we won the elections. - Henry Nana Boakye, National Organizer, NPP #PMExpress

We stand by our statement that the NPP is in cahoot with the EC to smuggle the details of someone who is not a registered voter in the constituency into the register. - Mustapha Gbande, Dep. Gen. Sec, NDC #PMExpress
As long as he is not illegally imported into the voter register in the constituency, we don't see it to be a crime but if they bring his name, we will have a cause for action. - Mustapha Gbande, Dep. Gen. Sec, NDC #PMExpress
The section the NDC quoted doesn't count because we have not triggered such a thing. - Henry Nana Boakye, National Organizer, NPP #PMExpress

Majority Leader Osei Kyei-Mensah-Bonsu says NPP MPs will have to take a decision on Ken Ofori-Atta following some of their colleagues demanding his removal. More than 100 NPP MPs last year stirred controversy when they demanded the firing of the president's
cousin. After some back and forth, the president promised to act on their demand after the IMF deal is finalized. So what has become of that? Majority Leader Osei Kyei-Mensah-Bonsu says the entire caucus must take a stand on that.
Still, in Parliament, the Minority is not backing down on their demand to have the EC amend its proposed CI which will make the Ghana card the sole identity document to register as a voter.
