James Forrestal, America's first Secretary of Defense and an inspiration to Joseph McCarthy, was DEFENESTRATED at Bethesda Naval Hospital in 1949 for his opposition to Zionism and to prevent him from publicizing the real motives for America's entry into WWII.

Forrestal planned to write a book and launch a national magazine. He had a 3000-page diary documenting the sell-out of American foreign policy to communism under FDR, and to Zionism under Truman, who had secretly accepted $2 million—today $20+—in exchange for recognizing Israel.

The diary contains info from Kennedy Sr., ambassador to the UK until 1940:

"Played golf with Joe Kennedy, asked him about conversations with Roosevelt and Neville Chamberlain from 1938 on. Chamberlain stated that America and the world Jews had forced England into the war."

In 1945, Forrestal took the young JFK on a tour of post-war Germany. Around that time, JFK described Hitler in his diary as a great man whom history would vindicate.

As president, JFK poignantly visited Forrestal's grave on Memorial Day 1963.

After a propaganda campaign playing up Forrestal's exhaustion and paranoia, he was abducted while on vacation in Florida, drugged, and hospitalized in Bethesda. Upon admission, Forrestal declared that he did not expect to leave the hospital alive.

Visitors were severely restricted. His priest was denied access 6 times. When his brother visited him on the final full day of his 7-week stay, he reported that Forrestal was in fine spirits. Hours before the scheduled release, Forrestal fell from the 16th floor.

Broken glass was found in and around his bed. There was never a real investigation. Family and friends never believed that he'd committed suicide. When the priest arrived, an officer whispered, "Father, you know Mr. Forrestal didn't kill himself, don't you?"

NYT the next day:

A passage on the comforts of death from Sophocles' tragedy "Ajax" was found copied in Forrestal's room. It was immediately interpreted as a suicide note, but the handwriting is obviously not Forrestal's.

Some historians suggest that Forrestal stopped copying at "nightingale," because he was overcome by guilt: the word was the codename for a neo-Nazi op, backed by the Truman admin, that caused the deaths of many Jews and Soviet-allies.

But alt-interpretations are possible.

8 years later at the same hospital, Joseph McCarthy died at the age of 48. No autopsy was performed, and the cause of death was obscure.
