My father was a famous Israeli general and I knew everything about our brave Israeli history.

But finally, I spoke with Palestinians who told me their stories. I resisted, but finally realized the truth about our history.

Americans, who give Israel billions of dollars each year, may be interested to know that May and June are monumentally difficult months in the collective memories of Israelis and Palestinians.
Israelis call it the War of Independence. Palestinians call it the Nakba or the Catastrophe which is commemorated in May.

In June Israelis celebrate the 1967 war, considered a massive victory for Israel. Palestinians mourn what they call the “Naksa,” which means setback
Finally, I learned from a Palestinian named George: “In 1948 the Zionist forces had outnumbered the Palestinian fighters four to one. We had about 10,000 men, poorly armed and poorly trained. The Zionists had a well-trained and well-armed militia of close to 40,000.”
“What? No, no, no! We were David in this David and Goliath scenario.” I had to insist. I remember stories of how we, the few, had defeated the well-armed Arabs. I heard stories from my father and his comrades in arms who participated in the battles.
I spoke with my brother Yoav and insisted these stories couldn't be true. “You should read Ilan Pappe and the other New Historians,” he suggested. “It looks like what the Palestinians are telling you is true.”
So now, during May & June, I feel an internal storm brewing. Similar to what I feel as Palestinians continue to tell me their stories. Never accusing, or waving their finger at me, just telling stories that the world does not want to hear

Violence is escalating against Palestinians at a dangerous rate and the world is doing nothing. The lies that @netanyahu spreads, unchecked, on platforms like @jordanbpeterson enables this violence

We must call out these people, organize, and take action to protect Palestinians
We cannot pretend like noting is happening.

Please contact your Rep or Senator and tell them: we must demand guarantees for the safety and security of Palestinians. No one is protecting Palestinians.

If you do please leave a comment below or quote tweet and tag them
This is all especially dangerous because the man Netanyahu put in charge of so-called security is the racist thug Itamar Ben-Gvir.

I talk more about Ben-Gvir's background, Netanyahu's false history, and the real history in the full video on my Patreon: patreon.com/posts/79469312

Last year I said if 100,000 Israelis rallied they could end the siege of Gaza immediately. This weekend 100,000 rallied in Tel Aviv. But they are protesting threats to their rights as privileged people in the apartheid system - not ongoing and increasing threats to Palestinians
There is no good Zionism. It is a racist and violent ideology. If the protesters in Israel really want democracy and justice they must demand an end to Zionism.
But Israelis won't demand an end to Zionism. So we must end US complicity with Israeli crimes - no more military aid to Israel, no more financial support. We must have zero tolerance for Zionism or any form of racism

During Blinken's visit to Palestine he said “We look to both sides not to take steps that actually make things worse.”

But the US has legitimized and supported Jewish terrorism against Palestinians: mintpressnews.com/us-legitimizin…
The US complicity in the recent violence in Palestine goes beyond the yearly $3.8 BILLION that the US gives to Israel. Last May 2022 the Biden administration took the Jewish Defense League JDL off the list of known terrorist organizations. This had major ramifications
According to @splcenter “JDL is a radical org that preaches a violent form of anti-Arab, Jewish nationalism... The group has orchestrated countless terrorist attacks in the U.S. and abroad, & has engaged in intense harassment of foreign diplomats." More: mintpressnews.com/us-legitimizin…

Just watched Farha on Netflix directed by @DarinSallam. Wow. It was not what I expected. It personalizes the Nakba in a way that's rare. It's a movie that hits you very hard. Gutsy. You sit at the edge of your seat. So well made. It deserves awards.
.@FarhaFilm grabs you emotionally. The beginning is beautiful and idyllic scenery. The portrayal of the village felt so real.
The overreaction from Israel reminds me of the phrase: "If the hat fits." The defensiveness by Israelis seems to be an admission of guilt.

Israel just elected its most openly fascist government. But we shouldn't be surprised. Zionism has been influenced by fascism from the start.

Listen to the most recent episode of Committing High Treason with @yaakov_shapiro on your podcast app or here: committinghighreason.com/fascist-influe…
From the episode description: After jettisoning their Jewish values, the founding fathers of Zionism used a potpourri of ideologies to recast their Jewishness in the image of 19th-century philosophical ideas.
One of the ideologies ZIonists relied on heavily to create their "new Jew" was fascism. In light of Israel's recent elections, this episode presents the history of fascist influence on classic and contemporary Zionism.

I've been in Hebron, West Bank. Settlers have taken over Palestinian homes. Israeli soldiers are everywhere harassing Palestinians

We saw soldiers holding 2 Palestinian girls back from going home. @Issaamro and I tried to help. This soldier shouted "Get the f*** out of here!"🧵
First a little background on Hebron: there are countless checkpoints and movement barriers that deny Palestinians the right to live freely in their city. Areas allow & forbidden for Palestinians

Here @Issaamro has one foot in a forbidden area and one foot in a permitted area!
Givati is the @IDF brigade controlling Hebron now. They take pride in being a tough combat brigade. They're supposed to primarily perform counter-terrorism operations.

We saw them harassing civilians, including children and an old man.

How tough is that?
