🧵Despite previous history, Pickett is innocent until proven guilty ppl. Imo though, WAPol would have used the past 6 months to investigate & make their case airtight, lulling Pickett into a false sense of security. That said, I think questions have to be asked in regards to the
timing & unfolding of events. The 1st obvious question: Why wait until after the game to arrest Pickett when he flew in Friday lunchtime? @Richmond_FC had a scheduled open training session at @OptusStadium at 1pm Friday. We were then told that "training would be delayed by abt 20
minutes" due to a "hold up at the airport". Media trickled in at around 1.45pm & players sporadically wandered out onto the ground at 2pm AWST, 1 hour later. After doing some charity with a little boy, players started training.
During this time, a couple of the youngest players
came over to the fans for signatures/photos. 3/4 of the team stayed away from fans & promptly left the field once they were finished.
Jack Reiwoldt (aka Mr "I'm only doing signatures, no photos for 5 minutes only") legged it as fast as he could off the ground. At the time, I
Called it sheer arrogance of the team (the only exception to this is Judson Clarke). I am now wondering if, at the very least, coaches & leadership team had prior knowledge of Pickett's pending arrest? If so, did the club request the arrest to occur after the game? Did WAPol
Break protocol/law in respect to Pickett's arrest? If Richmond had prior knowledge of what was going to happen, when did they inform #afl ? Depending on that answer, did the AFL also allow Pickett to play last night? Were assurances given by the club that Pickett would not leave
the state? Or was Pickett arrested not long after the game finished? This Q then circles back to my 1 question. I'm sorry, but there's
something fishy here...🤔🤨 #AFLDockersTigers#afl
