PM Narendra Modi is set to visit the U.S. from June 21-24 and meet with the US president Joe Biden. Committee to Protect Journalists (CPJ) calls on the US govt to urge India to end its media crackdown.
Soros, Pakistan, and endless propaganda controls #CPJ. (1/6)
A thread - Image
CPJ a US-based NGO funded by #GeorgeSoros #opensociety, that selectively protects and talks about press freedom. Now, in the name of press freedom, CPJ is demanding the release of 6 journalists involved in terror & anti-national activities in India. (2/6) Image
Fact is Aasif Sultan, Gautam Navlakha, Sajad Gul, Fahad Shah, Rupesh Kumar Singh and Irfan Mehraj
none of the journalists were detained arbitrarily, all six of them were arrested for their involvement in terror & anti-national activities. (3/6) Image
Pakistani journalist and writer Ahmed Rashid who has a history of being an anti-India writer is a board member at CPJ. IAMC organized "Questions Biden must ask Modi" recently, and also a regular user of CPJ articles in their various Anti-India reports. (4/6) ImageImage
This fake narrative against India is not new from CPJ. The organization is known to target India on every fault line. So-called press freedom organization CPJ always runs anti-India agenda like Independent Journalism (2014) to the recent #G20India Kashmir .(5/6) Image
CPJ was vocal about Sanna Irshad Mattoo's travel ban but chose silence when Danish Siddiqui was brutally murdered by the Taliban, & never came out openly & comment on Reuter's attempt to hide Danish Siddiqui's death as crossfire. This is the Irony of being a Press Freedom Org(6/6) Image

ANALYSIS: Misleading

FACT: A video of a group of uniformed armed men with a foreigner talking and shaking hands with them before leaving has been shared with the claim that the former US Marines are helping Chinkukizo in Myanmar to create havoc in Manipur. (1/5) Image
The fact is that these claims are false and baseless. The bearded man shown in the video is Jesse Phenow, Co-Executive Director and co-founder of 'The Urban Village, ' an organization working towards the resettlement and betterment of the Karen (K'nyaw) people. (2/5) Image
He never served in the US Marines. Jesse Phenow was first introduced to the Karen community in 2011 when he was paired with a recently resettled family of 9. Growing in kinship with this family, Jesse soon became an active ally of the Karen community. (3/5) Image

For the last couple of weeks, violent protests erupted across #Bangladesh against quotas for jobs in the country. Foreign propaganda accounts and bots are taking control to set their narrative on social media platforms. (1/13)

Exclusive thread on #QuotaMovement Image
The protest started last month after the High Court reinstated a quota system(30% of jobs reserved for family members of freedom fighters in 1971) for government jobs, overturning a 2018 decision by Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina's government to scrap it. (2/13) Image
Several bot accounts are making posts with the same video and statement, using the same hashtags related to student protests in Bangladesh to establish their narrative online. (3/13) Image

FACT: A video of people fighting with each other is being spread with a misleading claim that a Kashmiri Hindu family who dared to go back to Kashmir and build their house at Verinag were attacked by their Muslim neighbors. (1/4) Image
District administration Anantnag clarified the situation arose from a minor dispute between two neighbors over the use of approximately 3 Marlas of state land. This portion of land was being used for private parking by the parties involved. (2/4) Image
The conflict emerged when one party attempted to erect a boundary wall on this state land, which the other party objected to, leading to a heated exchange.
The civil and police administration promptly reached the spot, and mediated between the parties (3/4)

A thread — Image
Nirmala Rajasingam, SASG member and the founder of the Sri Lanka Democracy Forum (SLDF) claims Narendra Modi forced Sri Lanka to accept Gautam Adani. Fact is that India helped Sri Lanka during the financial crisis & US invested $553 million in Gautam Adani’s Sri Lanka port.(2/11) Image
SASG founder Amrit Wilson is known for her anti-India stance, her OCI card was canceled last year, and her daughter Kalpana Wilson is the head of SASG, which is known to be a partner of several anti-India organizations like ICIM, The London Story, IAMC etc. (3/11) Image

ANALYSIS: Misleading

FACT: News is being circulated claiming that Prime Minister Narendra Modi, in his 92nd episode of 'Mann Ki Baat', had said that conducting bhajans can be part of the solutions to reducing malnutrition. Fact is that this claim is fake and baseless. (1/4) Image
PM Narendra Modi said "Can you believe that devotional songs can be used to fight malnutrition? In Madhya Pradesh's Datia district, under the 'Mera Bachcha Abhiyan', this was successfully done. ‘Bhajan’ events were organized, and teachers dubbed 'Poshan Gurus' were invited. (2/4) Image
A 'Matka' program was also organized, in which women brought fistfuls of grain to their Anganwadi centers. The grain was used for cooking the Saturday 'Bal Bhoj.' This not only helped increase the attendance of children at Anganwadi centers but also reduced malnutrition. (3/4)

"Intellectual and professor" Nitasha Kaul was barred from entering India and deported to London. She claims this happened because the Congress-ruled Karnataka govt had invited her to speak on democratic & constitutional values.
But everyone should know the truth.(1/13)

This denied entry of a so-called journalist of Overseas Citizen is no accident. From testifying against India in the US Congress about Kashmir to having connections with anti-India organizations HfHr, IAMC, and Stand with Kashmir, she has it all in her resume. (2/13) Image
Nitasha Kaul is secretly married to Gay rights activist Dibyesh Anand, who gained popularity by claiming himself as a gay activist. He is very vocal about India, like giving an Aljazeera interview about the CAA protest or attending anti-India seminars with spouse, Nitasha. (3/13) Image
