The other day, lawyers for Ruby Freeman submitted pardoned felon Bernie Kerik's strategic plan to steal the election, which he sent to Mark Meadows on 12/28/2020.
I assume it was previously released but I hadn't looked closely.
Here's how they planned to disseminate their false claims about voter fraud.
Nothing surprising--but it's important bc THIS DOCUMENT makes false claims about Ruby Freeman, which they're suing over.
I read Rudy's depo, in which he professed not to know who the person in charge of social media outreach, TF, was, before I read WaPo's story reflecting an interview with Tom Fitton.
But as someone noted, it all seems to answer itself.
There's a VERY significant overlap between the false claims in this document and those that Stanford Integrity Project found to be the most persistent disinformation in 2020.
That is, of course, THE POINT. The reason why fascists and the useful idiots of fascists (like #MattyDickPics) are attacking efforts to curb disinformation is bc THOSE EFFORTS HELPED SAVE DEMOCRACY in 2020.
Anyway, this is all a roundabout way of saying that pardoned felon Bernie Kerik, at least, appears to have treated Tom Fitton as just as central part of the effort to steal the election as Steve Bannon (he of the recent Jack Smith subpoena) and Boris Epshteyn were.
[typo fixed]
Another thing I learned about pardoned felon Bernie Kerik that I had missed before was that he did two stints in Saudi Arabia, at least working directly for the House of Saud.
About the same time that Tim Parlatore was telling a grand jury that he did a diligent search for the missing docs at Bedminster, he was telling Ruby Freeman's attorneys he didn't have comms that they had documentary evidence he had.
Last week, when Freeman's lawyers asked Parlatore what the hold up of getting records Rudy said weren't privileged but pardoned felon Kerik said were, Parlatore said other things were more pressing that were taking priority. documentcloud.org/documents/2384…
At the time Parlatore blew off Ruby Freeman's lawyers, of course, his supposedly former client the Former President was about to be indicted.
Tl;dr on motion to compel pardoned felon Bernie Kerik: He tried to comply w/Freeman's subpoena by providing the things he provided J6C. But he made privilege claims that Rudy is not making.
So now he is experiencing a "technical glitch" accessing things not turned over to J6C.
Pardoned felon Bernie Kerik seems to have the same confusion about what kind of fellow pardon recipient SB might be.
This piece falsely claims that "shut down a case against Mr. Trump’s first national security adviser, Michael Flynn" and doesn't mention the word "pardon" once, which is how Trump ACTUALLY "shut down" Flynn's sentencing.
More importantly, and more on point, and more problematic for @jonathanvswan, who proved as credulous as anyone about John Durham's claims, they don't mention Durham (tho @charlie_savage did some of the most important reporting on it).
@jonathanvswan@charlie_savage Here's Swan being UTTERLY snookered by Durham's misleading Danchenko indictment. Just utterly bulldozed.
Today would be a good day for him to correct his false magnification of this false claim.
Far right propagandist @mrddmia knows he's not engaging in a good faith argument here -- he's paid to signal what the false talking points are.
But that's why it's important that he's trying to pretend Trump didn't FORCE Garland to appoint a Special Counsel.
@mrddmia He keeps repeating it over and over so the stupid sheep will, in turn, "Biden and Garland Biden and Garland." That kind of repetition is important for stupid MAGAts.
But HE KNOWS that Trump forfeited this argument when he announced early in a bid to avoid being charged.
@mrddmia TRUMP made the choice to force Garland to appoint Jack Smith. TRUMP made that choice.
And like many right wing white men do, Davis is trying to blame someone else for Trump's own personal choices.
There's a lot of discussion about the CIPA process that would govern classified records in the Trump case, including this great piece from @davidcaaron, who has prosecuted a number of these cases.
@davidcaaron To try to give a sense of how this works in reality, this post includes exhibits from 3 trials that went thru the CIPA process: Jeffrey Sterling, Josh Schulte, and Scooter Libby.
