I meditated for 2,000 days straight.

My teacher was the man that taught MJ and Kobe.

Here's what I learned: Image
This is my teacher, @gtmumford, and me. He is the 🐐. We connected when I was working in marketing at Nike Basketball. He became my Yoda after I lost my job and hit rock bottom. Lessgetitttt 👇 Image
1. Get to know yourself; there is no greater knowledge you can possess.

2. Meditation is not a finite game with winners and losers; it is an infinite game with players — be a player.

3. You have more to unlearn than you have to learn.
4. Peace is the most expensive thing you cannot buy.

5. Freedom is a choice, and you get to decide to be free every 24 hours.

6. TIME stands for "Things I Must Earn," so let time be — stop thinking about a year from now and focus on the day you are in.
7. You do not have to do anything; you get to do something.

8. Embrace boredom; it will set you free.

9. Addiction to stress is what you are dealing with but don't want to confront.
10. People-pleasing is not service; it serves your ego by attempting to control what others think about you.

11. No one thinks about you more than you do, and what others think about you is none of your business; learn to laugh at how wildly brazy this is.
12. Opps are opportunities to cultivate feelings of loving-kindness more than they are opponents to fear.

13. Comparing your insides to other people's outsides will only end in despair.
14. If you listen to music, pause multitasking, close your eyes, and smile; this can be the best beginner guided meditation.

15. Service is the secret, but you may read this and disagree until you commit to practicing it in all your affairs.
16. Your mind is not separate from your body, so treat your practice like a mental martial art.

17. First, you let it be; then, you let it integrate; finally, you let it go. In other words, "It is what it is," then "what is is," then "it was."
18. Be quick to see where religious people are right and use the jewels they share, but never mistake them for the jeweler.
19. Success is enjoying the progress you are making by being at peace with the process you are undertaking.
20. Practice makes progress, so reject perfection and lessgetitttt.
