In Brittany's last month we managed to get in touch with Denis Villeneuve and asked if she could see DUNE PART II. She was a DUNE fan, and had a burlesque act where she started out as a sandworm and stripped down to Paul Atreides. We had loved PART I.
Villeneueve's IMMEDIATE response: "of course, we will show it to her as soon as possible." I will never forget the speed and enthusiasm with which he replied. He and his team were willing to do whatever it took, and the people at Legendary signed off right away.
Then it got to Warner Bros and the whole thing ground to a halt. Just a wall of executives not even considering it. She never saw the movie.
But I will spend the rest of my life loving Villeneueve. Maybe you should take any review i write of his movies with caution...

...because as far as I'm concerned he can do no wrong and is an impeccably decent man. And that means I'm going to be predisposed to loving anything he ever makes.
