An in depth thread of Burton Albion and 11 players I think they should sign. They need a big summer and below is how I think they could. (๐งต) #bafc#Burton
Burton Albion currently only have eight players under contract although they have offered new deals to a further eight players.
So with none of them currently confirmed and 3/8 players playing the same/similar position, I am going to go through 11 possible signings I think would suit Burton Albion and help them kick on next season.
Starting with two ๐๐ผ๐ฎ๐น๐ธ๐ฒ๐ฒ๐ฝ๐ฒ๐ฟ๐ that I was actually requested to look at two by a Burton Albion fan.
First ๐๐ต๐ฟ๐ถ๐ ๐ ๐ฎ๐ ๐๐ฒ๐น๐น, he has experience and having been released by Blackpool needs a club, I think he will have many clubs after him but if Burton pulled it off he would be a good number one at L1 level
Second option is ๐๐ผ๐๐ถ๐ฒ ๐ ๐ผ๐๐น๐ฑ๐ฒ๐ป. I imagine it would be a loan deal from Wolves as the youngster has impressed with his two loan moves so far in NLS and NL.
Onto the ๐๐ option, they was a couple that caught my eye - but no more than another Blackpool player who was released and thatโs ๐๐๐ธ๐ฒ ๐๐ฎ๐ฟ๐ฏ๐๐๐, experienced and would be a good fit in a team thatโs got one of the better managers in L1 in my opinion.
Now ๐๐๐ weโve looked at two of them with the first one being ๐๐ฒ๐น๐น๐ฎ๐ป๐ฑ ๐ช๐ฎ๐๐๐, maybe an outside chance but heโs 23 years old and is looking for regular game time that Newcastle canโt offer him. He played Under Dino at Stevenage so knows him well.
The second ๐๐ I have down is ๐ฆ๐ฎ๐บ ๐ ๐ฐ๐๐น๐ฒ๐น๐น๐ฎ๐ป๐ฑ, a very impressive loan at Barrow and has now been released by Chelsea. Very good ball playing CB who I believe will play in the Premier League one day.
The final ๐ฑ๐ฒ๐ณ๐ฒ๐ป๐ฑ๐ฒ๐ฟ I have in my list is recently released ๐๐ฎ๐ป๐ธ๐ฎ๐๐ ๐๐ฎ๐ฏ๐ผ, I think he will drop down a division and it just makes sense to me, get him consistent playing time and heโs one of the leagues best fullbacks.
Onto the ๐บ๐ถ๐ฑ๐ณ๐ถ๐ฒ๐น๐ฑ now and itโs another man who was once tipped to go to the top and itโs recently released Arsenal man ๐ ๐ฎ๐๐๐ต๐ฒ๐ ๐ฆ๐บ๐ถ๐๐ต. Heโs enjoyed loan spells in the past in L1 and the ball playing midfielder would be a welcomed addition.
The wingers were actually hard to pick, but I managed to pick two that I feel make sense who can play inside and outside.
First ๐๐ถ๐ป๐ด๐ฒ๐ฟ is ๐ฆ๐๐น๐น๐ฎ๐ ๐๐ฎ๐ถ๐ธ๐ฎ๐ถ, heโs versatile but also when heโs playing his best football on the wing is a joy to watch, I think Dino could get the best out of Sullay if he was to go to Burton.
The second ๐๐ถ๐ป๐ด๐ฒ๐ฟ is ๐ข๐น๐ฎ๐บ๐ถ๐ฑ๐ฒ ๐ฆ๐ต๐ผ๐ฑ๐ถ๐ฝ๐ผ, heโs had some of his best seasons in L1 and although numbers didnโt show that last season I thought he was a decent player with Lincoln. I think a permanent move to Burton now heโs a free agent would be a sensible move.
I looked at many ๐๐๐ฟ๐ถ๐ธ๐ฒ๐ฟ๐ and the two I went with are both young and perhaps risks but I think they would be good signings.
Firstly after the loan of Taylor from Forest last season I think thereโs an opportunity to get another good young ๐๐๐ฟ๐ถ๐ธ๐ฒ๐ฟ on loan from there and thatโs ๐๐ฒ๐๐น๐ฒ๐ณ ๐ข๐๐ผ๐ป๐ด. The 18 year old Striker scored 7 goals in 10 U18 games last season and looks to have a veryโฆ twitter.com/i/web/status/1โฆ
Finally ๐ ๐ถ๐ฝ๐ผ ๐ข๐ฑ๐๐ฏ๐ฒ๐ธ๐ผ, the striker has been released by West Ham but I still feel has a bright future in the game. Heโs had loans in L1 before and think a permanent home would help him perform better.
This was really hard to do - as Iโve tried to stay original and also realistic, whatever business Burton do it needs to be in numbers if the players donโt stay
I expect a big summer and it will need to be for Burton Albion to progress from last season.
Thanks.

Scoring an impressive 36 goals in 38 games for Everton U21s he then had senior loan spells at
- Blackpool, 24 games (10 goals)
- Hearts, 21 games (7 goals)
- Sunderland, 17 games (7 goals)
Before signing for his now club Coventry, heโs not yet hit the heights heโs capable of, but overall has translated to senior football very well.
3. Folarin Balogun - Monaco
After coming through the Arsenal ranks, however struggling to become a regular in the first team, he went on loan to Reims under Will Still in 22/23 and scored 22 goals in 39 games having a fantastic season, which led to Monaco signing the American on a permanent from Arsenal.
Although heโs not hit the goalscoring return expected, the expectation will be he can reach them heights again.
What i am going to do, is post his last 10 ball carrying attempts, not picking out only the good ones โ just showing the most recent 15 and taking a look at each one and giving my opinion.

This is against Tottenham, and ball carrying isnโt only about creating chances for your team, this game they will have spent a lot of game without the ball, and didnโt have much of an outlet โ so for your midfielder to carry the ball like this and take the pressure of your team is what you want.
Ben Sheaf, how heโs become one of the very best players in the championship (๐งต)
#pusb
Ben Sheaf is a central midfielder for Championship side Coventry City, I want to look into detail why heโs so good and what he does so well, also start by looking at his career as a whole.
Ben Sheaf started his youth career at West Ham for a short spell at only 13, before joining Arsenal a couple of seasons after.
Michael Skubala Pressing implemented from Futsal to Football.

If you havenโt on the FA Learning on YouTube, theyโve got a mini series of him hosting a conference talking through and leading a futsal session, itโs a fantastic watch.
In futsal the main take away is that itโs highly technical based, itโs small court, itโs about movement, technicality & when youโre off the ball how can you put the opposition team under so much pressure?
Despite the fantastic FA Cup story, why is George Elokobi a very good manager (๐งต)
#maidstone
Whenever the name George Elokobi is mentioned I instantly remember him at Wolves with the likes of Ebanks Blake and Kevin Doyle, his character as a footballer has transferred over to his manager too.
But I want to explain why although itโs a brilliant story, why in my opinion heโs becoming a very good football coach and will attract interest very soon.
Who is Victor Torp, and what should Coventry fans expect? (๐งต)

Player profile
Name - Victor Torp
Position - 6/8
Age - 24
Club - Sarpsborg 08
Nationality - ๐ฉ๐ฐ
Direct Free-Kick taker.
I actually came across Victor when I ran a metric to find the best players in position in Denmark and Norway and he popped up as one of the best midfielders in Europe at the minute in terms of overall statistical score.
