Basically a summary of it all and an extra bit of rambling

- Conquering the human flesh hunger pang: first her brother (episode 2)

-Then every human with the help of hypnosis and spells from both urokudaki and Tamayo respectively

-Then awakening her blood demon art which is the manifestation of her ultimate desire and showing how

strong her conviction in hating the very notion of demons is.

-Then eventually conquering the urge of flesh consumption properly without the need of spells or hypnosis in RLD where her berserk outbursts broke these. Achieving the ultimate distinction between

a human and a monster : flesh consumption and of course it doesn’t stop there with her.

-She goes on to eventually conquer the sun which was fittingly spurred by the biggest action that distinguishes a human from a demon even more than not consuming flesh:

-Relinquishing her life to make sure a demon (hantengu) is killed putting a stop to his centuries old mayhem on humans and saving what are certain to be hundreds if not thousands of human life’s he’ll go on to take.

In my opinion, at that point she ceased being a demon & became not just human, but the most righteous kinds in demon slayer which are of course the slayers.
(I’m still of the opinion that she would’ve eventually turned human if given enough time)

Anyways I’m not just rambling

about my speculations either
as Tamayo herself said this already but I wanted to elaborate on how that’s not a last minute adage used by the author to justify this direction but something she has carefully worked towards throughout the story and in my opinion successfully did.

I’ll like to highlight the fact all these heavily rely on the strong bond Tanjiro & her share further reinforcing one of the story’s biggest if not outright biggest themes : Blood family bonds (also found family bonds the slayers represent especially by the series end)

His existence and ever presence to her has been the main factor in her strong desire of not letting the monster in her consume her. He’s been instrumental in making her withdraw from eating flesh or get out of berserker states

Finally I’ll like to add that any demon could’ve done this but none haven been able to partly because of their greeds, lack of such human bonds to give the incentive to to try to & mostly cuz of muzan’s Own handiwork: he telepathically not only forced this compulsion on them but

Also wipes out their memories to force most of them to act inhuman (some of them to that by their own desire).

Speaking of wiping memories (Stay with me for a bit more guys):

This is one of the many great and unique execution of shonen tropes Gotouge did:

she essentially took the theory about peoples whole lives flashing before their eyes before at moments they perceive as their deaths as a result of strong emotional outbursts as the back door of breaking that compulsion and also as gateway to employ the flashback trope.

This we know has gone to play huge roles in the story in multiple occasions for both slayers (tanjiro ep 19 where she used shi by as the mouthpiece to introduce that concept here ) and demons: akaza aborting the next step of his evolution as a result of the retuning memories.

All these Ultimately reinforces both the danger muzan poses and shows the vast web of how visceral his mayhem to the kny world and unfortunate souls he turned into demons is.

Anyways rounding up everything, this triumph ended up being not only the biggest moment of bliss for her but also for muzan the big bad himself as that’s what he’s been looking for in all his existence: A way to walk in the sunlight & becoming in his own words “the perfect being”

I like the dynamic this makes for: Greatest victory for the object of Tanjiro’s story so far is also the biggest victory for the biggest bad : Muzan

Anyways that’s it for the thread. It’s so long cuz with this series you have to write in lay man terms for ironically

the “it’s a simple story” crowd. It’s still a mystery to me how that crowd fail to understand these things or how till this day they don’t grasp the least bit about the power system either 😭. Not very “intellectual” or “media literate” of them is it ? 😂
