One nitpick: my argument against surrogacy etc is not because it's 'unnatural', but because using tech to evade physiological givens doesn't *just* make us freer, it *also* leaves us in hock to the market and this comes with costs, usually paid by those who already have least

The boundary between “nature” and “culture” is obviously porous. Feminism Against Progress sets out to show the role material conditions play in sex relations; the result can neither be narrated as a story of abstract progress nor of simply our ‘nature’ amazon.co.uk/Feminism-Again…

But it should be clear by now there’s an absolute limit to how far we can push ‘culture’ (really, tech) over nature, & that we’re now scraping the barrel on the gains this affords while accruing a great many downsides. Hence the book! Anyway, thanks for the write-up @helenlewis
