In the beginning, I could rate Mallam Olawale higher but in the recent time, I won't tell you a lie, the man is either going through a moment or the government is overtaking him with hoarding of information and statutory obscurity.
I read a press release 'allegedly' written by him yesterday, I saw some things unfamiliar with the Mallam that was introduced to us, "Too many unconnected words".
Yesterday evening, I listened to Mallam on Fresh FM, he was asked a simple question, "When will the CJ retire?"
This question was repeated thrice, and Mallam derailed just like he was short of information and somehow forcing himself as a Spokesman.
I appreciated the anchor who left him to trend at Stray.
Today, I am listening to him on Rave FM, and the man is still not loaded
with precise responses to questions.
In December 2022, even though we were not in the same political party, I cherished his presentation and accuracy, even if he wanted to spray propaganda.
In recent times, the depreciation in the media efficacy of Mallam Olawale is worrisome,
and we may call on our man, Senator Nurudeen Jackson Ademola Adeleke to help look into this, and ensure the upright rehabilitation of his mouthpiece.
You may say this is coming from an opposition party member, but remember that Osun is ours and once we step across Asejire,
our political differences end and Osun remains our Common Entity.
Bail him out! Empower this man with accurate information and let him full sense of belonging.
Note: If I tagged you and you are not a PDP member, I hope you grant my apology.
THE ARROGANT RETURN OF A PRODIGIOUS LEADER: QUESTIONS ON AREGBE'S HOMECOMING
BY:: ( Anonymous)
Before delving into the questions we can draw from Aregbesola's political journey and his ill-advised homecoming, I would like to share a story my grandma once told me.
It goes as follows:
Once upon a time in Ajewale town, during a serene evening when the sun gracefully set below the horizon, a prodigious leader named Igberaga made his triumphant return. The atmosphere crackled with anticipation, a mix of admiration and apprehension.
Igberaga had achieved his lifelong ambition, but not without great sacrifice. His rise to power had been tainted by betrayal and the shattering of a once-promising mentorship.
“The excitement about the new president and his reforms is palpable,” a senior banker at a U.K-based financial institution told BusinessDay about how the foreign investor community is warming up to President Bola Tinubu’s economic reforms.
“I was in three cities in the United States last week to see clients and everybody was talking about Nigeria. “He has put Nigeria back at the top of the agenda, in a positive way,” the banker said.
Nigeria is on the lips of foreign investors again after nearly a decade of slipping under the radar.
Such is the rate at which President Tinubu has taken the world by surprise with bold reforms that looked impossible in the eight years prior to his assumption of Nigeria’s
Mallam Olawale Rasheed is overwhelmed. The evil spirit that often makes him commit school boy's errors is now in total hold of him. Who will deliver him? Even though no man is infallible, a government's press statement shouldn't be this riddled with mistakes and inconsistencies.
Some of the unpardonable errors in his latest press statement:
1. Headline:"Adeleke completes 31km of roads, another 32km ongoing"
In the body of the statement, he writes: "17km of roads are currently ongoing at various stages of completion across the state."❌.
He fails to stick to the figure "32km" quoted in the headline. How many kilometres of roads are ongoing, 32km or 17km?
2. In another paragraph, he also writes : "I can confirm to you that we have indeed completed 32kilometres in the last seven or so months"❌
Having bungled the somewhat goodwill that brought him to office as the 6th executive governor of Osun State, Senator Ademola Adeleke, no doubt, has realised that dancing around the state alone can't fetch him...
the needed second term in 2026. Just seven months in the saddles, he has lost the grip of governance. He now struggles to pay pension and salary, couldn't fulfil his pre-election social contract of offsetting salary arrears before 100 days in office and social
contract of transforming the State of the Living Spring to a mini London. His only achievements thus far are an installation of few poorly built pit-latrines and a construction of substandard roads, 1km in all, across the state!
A statement credited to the elders’ caucus of the party that the immediate past Minister of Interior, Rauf Aregbesola, should seek genuine forgiveness to find a way back into the party was not the position of APC in the state.
“We are the party and we know the members of our party. We know who voted for Tinubu and Oyetola during the last presidential and governorship elections. At the appropriate time, the party will come out with its resolution on the matter.
“We are not restructuring the party, the party is intact in Osun under Baba Bisi Akande and Gboyega Oyetola. At the appropriate time, we will reveal the plans we have for those who engaged in anti-party.
I led a government delegation to Patigi to commiserate with families affected in the Monday night boat mishap, in which dozens have been confirmed dead.
It is a sad event. We commiserate with our people in Patigi Emirate, including the Etsu Patigi Alhaji Ibrahim Umar Bologi II.
We are deeply saddened by the event.
Our immediate step is to deliver at least 1000 life jackets to support safe travels on water in the area while we are working with the Nigeria Inland Waterway Authority (NIWA) on enforcement of safety codes on our waterways.
We will design and roll out statewide standard operating procedures (SOPs) for water travels to cover issues of boat serviceability, speed limits, loading limits and wearing of life jackets by all passengers. This will be the new irreducible minimum.
