Qutub minar, the sign of glory of the Delhi sultanate :
Built by 'Qutubuddin Aibak' in early 13th century, Qutub Minar is a beautiful example of Islamic architecture. The height of Qutub is 72.5 metre making it the tallest brick minaret in the world. 2/n
Do you know Qutub Minar has Holy Quran Verses Written on it.
Historians are still puzzled as how they embodied the verses of the holy Quran on stones inside and outside of the Qutub minar. 3/n
I never told my children what my job was. I never wanted them to feel ashamed because of me. When my youngest daughter asked me what I did, I used to tell her hesitantly that I was a labourer. Before I went back home every day, I used to take a bath in the public toilets. 1/n
so they did not get any hint of the work I was doing. I wanted to send my daughters to school, to educate them. I wanted them to stand in front of people with dignity. I never wanted anyone to look down upon them like the way everyone did to me. 2/n
People always humiliated me. I invested every penny of my earnings for my daughters’ education. I never bought a new shirt, instead I used the money for buying books for them. Respect is all I wanted them to earn for me. I was a cleaner. 3/n
On this day, May 19, 1925, African American Muslim leader Malcolm X (al-Hajj Malik al-Shabazz) was born in Omaha, Nebraska, US.
Malcolm X (Malik el-shabazz) was assassinated as he was delivering a speech at the Audobon Ballroom in New York City. 1/n
Malcom was the voice of a generation, the voice of fustrated & disillusioned Black people who were fustrated at the slow pace of Civil Rights, & the constant harassment & brutality from the White Power structure, (& not just in the South either). 2/n
He was a man who spoke truth to power, told it the way it was, without sugarcoating it.
For years, it was claimed that members of the Nation of Islam played a role in Malcolm's assassination, but in truth, The F. B. I. had played a role in the assassination. 3/n
