Yoo Joonghyun (SP) has always known what it means to want something that should be yours but because of one little thing, it would never be yours.

SP was the firstborn son of the King of Kaizenix, technically heir to the entire Kingdom and future lord of the lands but there was—

one detail that could never be overlooked:

SP's mother was not the King's legitimate wife, the Queen.

SP's mother was the King's childhood beloved, his most beloved mistress.

It didn't matter if SP's face was an amalgamation of all the previous Yoo Kings that had graced the—

realm, proof of his royal lineage; he was born from the wrong womb and so, he was barred from any inheritance belonging to the Yoo Royal Family aside from things that personally belonged to his father.

But as long as the Queen's womb remained barren, SP would have become his—

father's heir.

Ever since SP's birth, the Queen tried and failed every year to bear a legitimate heir for his father.

Every year that the Queen had a miscarriage, SP's mother's power grew and grew.

At the news of Noble Duke Hades' second wife giving birth to a daughter, his—

mother had been overjoyed; while the Queen had been pregnant at the time, everyone assumed that she would lose it once more.

And this time, SP would be declared heir to the realm, legitimized as a true prince of the realm.

And he would have a pureblooded noble daughter at his—

side, the Duke's armies fully backing him and his claim.

After all, she had been the first daughter born into the ruling family of the Duchy of Tartarus in over half a millenium; the promise between the Royal Family and the ruling family of Tartarus would finally be fulfilled.

"A firstborn son of the realm will wed the firstborn daughter of the strongest armies."

And so, everyone had neglected the fact that the Queen had not miscarried her child.

Until one day, on a bright August morning when SP was five years old, guards suddenly stormed into his—

mother's chambers as they gave her the news.

Since she was the beloved mistress of a king and mother to one of his sons, she was being allowed the privilege to enter the most esteemed convent (the one only frequented by Royal Princesses or Widowed Queens) to dutifully served.

When she demanded to know the reason, his father's aide (a cousin to the Queen who hated his mother) replied: "For a legitimate heir has been born and you are not someone who can be allowed to remain in these palace walls while the child is defenseless."

She had been reassured that SP would be allowed to visit her four times in a year, with supervision of course, but that she could never leave the convent.

After all, she was mother to a bastard prince and could've put up a good fight to create a powerful faction for him.

And more importantly, it was the King's command and it was his word.

And so, his father finally had his legitimate heir, SP's younger trueborn brother, Yoo Joonghyuk.

Despite his mother's and the few that remained on her side's insistence, SP tried his best to ignore the gnawing creature inside of him that insisted that the throne was his.

Tried to be a decent older brother to YJH.

Tried to seem kind and good enough that his father and his—

wife wouldn't suspect anything.

Had strayed far from politics and swordmanship despite being good at it so that no one would say he was scheming against YJH.

And would've done well enough if he hadn't met his younger brother's betrothed; the Noble Lady Dokja (KDJ), Noble Duke—

Hades' only daughter.

At sixteen, she was the most beautiful young lady in the realm; willowy and lithe, ivory skinned with long delicate hair as black as true obsidian, eyes glimmering like the Northern Stars that SP was certain that the Gods had trapped dying stars in her—

eyes to keep them from extinction, and with a mind sharper than any blade SP had wielded.

A perfect lady, wasted on SP's younger brother who was still growing into his lanky height and stumbled over anything.

The elders hoped it would be a love match.

SP prayed that his brother and KDJ were unable to spend a single second in each other's presence.

Wouldn't mind being the one to give KDJ comfort.

But his brother and KDJ had falled in love with each other; when KDJ was back in her homeland, YJH would send countless letters—

about yearning for her presence.

Everytime KDJ came to the capital to spend time with YJH, SP was filled with the desire to have her for her own as tradition demanded.

He was the firstborn, 21 years old to YJH's 16; KDJ was technically his, according to tradition.

And so, feelings of possessiveness and desire festered in SP as he slowly amassed his own faction.

Which led him to his current situation: the wonderful sight of KDJ, the proud and beloved Queen of the Realm, on her knees as she begged him to spare YJH, his brother and King who—

he was currently usurping and had almost killed if it weren't for his pretty wife who had put herself in between the two of them, the growing swell on her belly a bitter reminder that his brother had bred her, and prettily begged as she wept to spare her husband.

SP couldn't hold back the words that slipped from his lips at the sight of her so willing to do whatever it took to keep his brother alive.

"You'll do anything, Your Majesty? Then suck my cock and I'll consider it."
