I would NEVER complain about job scarcity, this is because I am always updated on what changes.

Jobs are everywhere.
Your approach is just Old,Boring and familiar to devs!

If you want to land a job in ONE WEEK, Digest this thread.

I bet no one would share this for free.👇🏻 Image
The same way I job hunted last year is totally different from how I job hunt this year.

Before we dive in here’s what changed;

→My strategies
→My confidence
→My skills (I upskilled )
→My experience and professionalism
→My payment rate (increased value>>>> increased pay.
I joined during the bullrun so what worked is totally different from what works now.

Here are 3 alphas you need to bag good gigs this bear season…

→ The friendship strategy.
→ The Cold dming strategy.
→ The Social media POW.
Yes you know these but you know even know how to use them.

The friendship strategy is in two categories.
1. Voluntering.
2. Direct pitch.

But I’ll only talk about the volunteering pitch, you can figure the direct pitch by making your personal research.

So let’s dive in👇🏻
Volunteering Strategy → The reason why you don’t get jobs even after offering them so much value for free or even for an undercharged pay is because you don’t show them what you propose.

They are familiar with the usual tactics most people use.
Here’s an example 👇🏻 Image
When others only make promises to founders, you can get an edge by showing these founders.

Everyone does this→ I love what you are building and would love to work with you for the growth of your community.

Come on! It’s boring! It’s false! It’s usual! Image
Do this instead👇🏻
→ Join a community you’d like to work at and make proper research to be sure they are long term.

→ Engage in the community for a few days then shoot a friendly dm.

→ After shortly engaging in a convo. with the dev, compliment his work towards the project.
→ In your convo ask if there’s any paid or volunteering position for the role you want.
They’ll likely say there are no paid roles.

That’s not a problem.

→ take the volunteering role.

→ dedicate a week or two and give your best at it,outworking the paid workers.
→ after these, send him a friendly dm asking about a review of your work.

He’s going to be excited and just blurt out how well you’ve worked.
(This is your compensated pitch key.)

Immediately tell him you’ll like to get a weekly compensation for your services to the community…
And he would actually pay,You indirectly already made him to acknowledge the value of Your services to the community.
(PS; you must have done a perfect job for him to compliment you)

It’s that easy.

Try these with 4 projects every two days and thank me later.

Unto the next 👇🏻
The Cold Dm Strategy → 79% of unemployed job hunters fail to maximize the full potentials of this strategy.

One cold DM can change your life,it might land you a mentor or job.

The mistake people make with cold dms is by;
→ Making it too long.
→ Making it unpersonalized.
→ It Doesn’t speak value.
→ Frail use of numbers.

You don’t send a cold dm as a direct dm!
It’s a cold dm because there don’t have to be a mutual connection before you reach out to them.

I’ve landed most gigs just by cold dming, and from all of it,I’ve learnt that the first key of cold dming is to get them open your message or see your message request.
I’ll talk about that in two ways👇🏻

•The provocative way→ Start your pitch with something provoking about their project to make them open your dm when it pops up

•The usual friendly way→ Start your pitch with complements to get them to open your dm.

Then use these steps👇🏻
→ Find 15-20projects daily.
→ follow them 🌚
→ Engage their tweets,stalk them.
→ Send the cold dm.

Don’t just wait for these ones to reply, keep reaching out to other clients.

Work with the law of average.

If you dm 30 people.
5 would reply.
2 hires you.

(Be consistent)
The social media POW→ Founders don’t want you to tell, they want to show them.

The difference between you and i is that; your CV is proof of work.
While my socials are my proof of work.

Now let’s turn the tables,
Instead of you to reach out to devs, let’s make them come to you👇🏻
Here’s some examples….. Image
Note that founders will only reach out to you when you solve problems they are facing.

You don’t need to see my resume to tell that I’m a badass community manager.
70% of my threads would prove that.

If you’re a graphic designer or content creator, etc…
Write about your niche…
→Find problems around your niche in relation to web 3 projects.
→Find the solutions.
→Back test the solutions.
→Write and put out more contents on how you’ve solved problems with your skills.

An example
Don’t tweet

“Community managers are pillars to projects growth”

Say👇🏻
“Last week I started managing X community.
It has 800 members before I joined, this and this was lacking…

Then I did this…..

Then post the results from your work + a good review from your dev.

But after all these, founders might still not reach out to you.

Here’s Why?👇🏻
Branding!

→ Work on your Twitter bio and banner.
→ Work on your followers number growth.
→ Work on your pinned tweet.( it gives the first impression about the value on time page)
→ Highlight what you do.
→ Share your experiences.

And you’ll get them reaching out to you. Image
And I remain your Favorite Web 3 jobs expert.
It’s not a brag, it’s a brand!
