i think the trick to being a writer or any other creative profession is realizing it’s an idiosyncratic life and you need to figure out a process that works for you. it takes time but usually you arrive at it organically if you’re dedicated
some people need to do the monastic thing, other people can write coming off 3 hours of sleep with a bad hangover
