@internetarchive@NThylstrup@nytimes Hello. The Wayback Machine is broken. When I go from an archived copy of a thread unroll to still existing tweets that are directly linked to from the unroll, I keep seeing this error message ...
"People like you shouldn't be on SM if they are so damn weak minded."
And you go on either not getting it, or more likely, t r o l l i s h l y pretending to not get it.
@Alex_Neverm1nd@HuukedOnFonix@Jtrap161@CultureCrave What are the odds that if I had done as your a s s h o l e buddy chose to do, and had ignored the context and took the time to cover every possible scenario, that you'd complain about the length of my response?
@liz_beybey@Phil_Lewis_ Liz. Water is a highly lossy medium. Getting the Internet down there would be some trick.
Not completely impossible, but highly impractical.
@liz_beybey@Phil_Lewis_ How would they do it? Run a cable down to the sub, and hope it didn't break or, worse, get tangled on something (like, say, a disintegrating shipwreck) and leave the sub trapped after it failed to disconnect?
@liz_beybey@Phil_Lewis_ I suppose one could have a series of little robotic microsubs and use them to set a series of relays, and hoping that they didn't fail too badly in their attempts to follow the minisub, at insane expense, give those onboard connection speeds that would take them back to the 90s.
@WeatherBotHV Basic manners: I'm assuming that the bot is just a bot, and that nobody will be seeing these replies, which I'm using to assemble something on my profile. If I'm wrong, and I'm bothering you, @WeatherBotHV, please speak up and I'll stop doing that right away.
@WeatherBotHV OK ... so some of you, on seeing tweets coming through, will probably wonder "who is this guy and why don't I remember following him." The answer to that is because, for no valid reason, my account was suspended almost seven years ago.
