teen wangxian canon get together where omega su she gets jealous of omega wei wuxian and try to do help lan wangji.

su she is seeing alpha lan wangji interacting with an omega other then him and he is consumed by jealousy.

even he has never been able to get a reaction out of lan wangji! how dare another outsider omega get a rise from lan wangji? he never even looks at su she in anger like that. not even a single look!

so seeing this shameless wei wuxian following lan wangji and bothering him, he has had enough!

wei wuxian is doing the same thing he always. following lan wangji around and bothering him.

su she has been here longer then wei wuxian and he can tell that lan wangji is annoyed. he will help the alpha out.

just as lan wangji walks away and wei wuxian is all alone, su she corners him.

“are you really that shameless?” su she grits out, blocking wei wuxian’s way.

the omega startles for a second before giving him an annoying and confused smile. shamelessly leaking his repelling scent of lotuses.

“umm, how can i help you?” he asks cluelessly, like he has any right to! he has broken so many rules!

“who do you think you are to bother lan zhan?” su she grits out and watches wei wuxian’s eyes widen.

wei wuxian clears his throat, still smiling annoyingly. “bother him? me and lan zhan are friends”

"friends?" su she scoffs, his voice dripping with disdain. "do you really think you can fool me with such a pathetic excuse?"

lan wangji and friends with this omega! not possible!

wei wuxian's smile falters slightly, but he remains composed. "i'm not trying to fool anyone” he says but this time looks like he himself does not believe it.

su she smiles cruelly and uses this to his benefit, “the lans have rules and standards”

and then looks at wei wuxian from head to toe very pointedly, “and lan zhan would never want an omega like you”

wei wuxian's shoulders slump, and he takes a step back, his eyes downcast. the hurt in his voice is evident as he replies, "i never thought... lan zhan and i...we are friends”

su she's smile widens as he relishes in wei wuxian's apparent distress. "you are just deluding yourself, wei wuxian. lan zhan can't possibly see you as anything more than a nuisance. don't you see how he looks at you? it's with disdain."

wei wuxian's fists clench at his sides, hurt flickering back into his eyes but he does not say anything. he cannot even if he tries to because he knows su she is right.

su she shakes his head mockingly. "you are just a distraction to him, an inconvenience. lan zhan needs someone who can match his status and bring honor to the lan sect. someone who understands the importance of tradition and refinement."

with his goal reached and as a last touch, su she takes a step forward, his voice dripping with disdain. "you are just a servant's son, wei wuxian. you will never be worthy of someone like lan zhan."

this will be the last time wei wuxian will even think about bothering lan wangji ever again. he has done lan wangji a big favour.

su she is about to say another sentence but he can even say anything else, a voice cuts through the tension and a strong scent flares around them, so strong that su she falls to his knees, “that is enough, su she."

wei wuxian's head snaps up in surprise as lan wangji steps forward, his presence commanding and his voice filled with authority. the air around them crackles with tension as lan wangji's alpha aura fills the space, overpowering su she.

su she, his eyes wide with fear, stammers, "l-lan zhan... i-i..."

lan wangji's gaze remains fixed on su she, his voice cold and stern. "you are not qualified to call me by my birth name”

“i apologize, lan wangji," su she stammers, his voice trembling. "i... i meant no disrespect. i just wanted to get wei wuxian off your back! he has been bothering you and—“

lan wangji interrupts, his tone firm and so strong that su she cowers. "wei ying is my friend. his presence in my life is not a burden nor an inconvenience. i do not require your intervention or misguided attempts to separate us”

su she's eyes dart nervously between lan wangji and wei wuxian, realizing that his words have not achieved the desired effect. he scrambles for an explanation, his voice shaky. "i..i only spoke out of concern for your well-being. i believed i was doing what was best for you."

lan wangji's gaze hardens, his voice cutting through the air like a blade. "your concern is misplaced, and your actions were unjustified. wei ying's presence brings me joy and comfort. i will not tolerate anyone attempting to undermine our friendship. leave this instant”

su she's face pales further, realizing the depth of his mistake. he stammers, unable to find the right words to defend himself. with a final fearful glance at lan wangji then at wei wuxian and a defeated expression, he turns and flees, disappearing into the distance.

relief washes over wei wuxian, knowing that lan wangji has defended him. his omega is happy inside of him and yet, traces of the hurt inflicted by su she's words linger, leaving a bitter taste in his mouth.

wei wuxian has grown up hearing these words again and again, so much that he himself believes in them. but seeing lan wangji, this alpha with his beautiful face and cold behaviour, wei wuxian had forgotten about what and who he truly was.

the moment su she leaves, lan wangji turns his attention to wei wuxian, his gaze softening with concern. he takes a step forward, closing the distance between them, and gently places a hand on wei wuxian's shoulder.

"wei ying, i apologise for his words. su she's words hold no truth. you are not defined by your background at all”

wei wuxian looks up at lan wangji, tears shimmering in his eyes. he tries to steady his voice, his words filled with raw vulnerability.

"lan zhan... i... i didn't expect you to stand up for me like that. thank you." the only words he can say at the moment. he knows lan wangji would never care about anyone’s background.

and then like a surprise, lan wangji's thumb brushes against wei wuxian's cheek, wiping away a stray tear. his voice is filled with sincerity. "wei ying, you are important to me. i will not allow anyone to belittle you”

but how can wei wuxian explain that he wants more then just friendship with him? that the words su she had said has affected him more than he is showing?

“i know lan zhan” wei wuxian says, tries to move out of lan wangji’s arms, only for the alpha to step in front of him.

“you are important to me wei ying” lan wangji repeats like he is trying to tell him something but isn’t managing to. his frustration shows on his face when wei wuxian only nods.

“you don’t have to pretend anymore, lan zhan. su she isn’t here. you know he said nothing wrong really. you were annoyed by me and i was bothering you—“

lan wangji reaches out, his hand gently cupping wei wuxian's face, preventing him from turning away and saying anything else.

"wei ying," lan wangji's voice is filled with tenderness, his thumb caressing wei wuxian's cheek. "you misunderstand. i was never annoyed by you”

“lan zhan” wei ying whispers.

"you are not a burden, nor a nuisance. you challenge me, you make me question my own beliefs, and you make me feel alive in a way i have never experienced before. i cherish our friendship deeply, but i also want more."

wei wuxian's eyes widen with surprise, his heart pounding in his chest. he searches lan wangji's eyes, desperately trying to understand his words. "more?" he breathes, his voice barely audible.

lan wangji's gaze goes soft but determined at the same time, his thumb still gently caressing wei wuxian's cheek. "yes, wei ying," he says with unwavering determination. "i want more than just friendship with you. i want to be by your side and love you."

wei wuxian's breath catches in his throat, his mind struggling to process lan wangji's confession.

"i... i never thought," wei wuxian stammers, his voice trembling. "i never thought you would feel the same way, lan zhan."

it is lan zhan’s turn to be surprised. “the same way?”

wei wuxian's cheeks flush with shyness. he takes a deep breath, gathering his thoughts before he continues.

"i... i mean, i never thought you would have romantic feelings for me," wei wuxian. "i always believed that our friendship or whatever it was. but i never thought this was possible because—“

wei wuxian does not get to continue because right at that moment, lan wangji is kissing him passionately, silencing his words.

their lips move together as lan wangji’s hands find their way to his waist, pulling him closer as if afraid to let go.

wei wuxian moans into the kiss and lan wangji bites his lower lip.

when they finally break apart, their breaths mingling, wei wuxian stares into lan wangji's eyes, his own filled with wonder. "lan zhan," he whispers. “does this mean I can call you my boyfriend?”

lan wangji's thumb caresses wei wuxian's cheek, his touch gentle yet possessive. "you can call me your mate”

“lan zhan!”
