If you have a computer and a skill, you can do thisπ
About me:
- Scaled agency to 8 figures in 2 years
- Just built multiple 7 figure agencies in last 3 months
I can teach you how to do this:
Stage 1: $0- $10k/mo
- Building a Sales Engine
Stage 2: $10k -> $100k/mo and beyond
- Scaling Sales, Ops, Team
1/ Let's assume you know your service or already have an agency.
For this example, I'll use short-form video like we do @useviralcuts
This applies to ANY skill or service though.
2/ Find potential customers who NEED your service
Your criteria for a prospect:
- Should be spending $10k+/month on their content
- Someone who's short form video game sucks (so you can improve it)
Start with one prospect, say @thejustinwelsh -
- He makes over a milly from his content
- He doesn't post reels.
This fits your criteria.
Hit 'follow' and Insta will suggest you 10 accounts LIKE HIS.
(sorry Justin)
Go to each suggested account and see if they fit your criteria.
If they do, hit follow. Instagram will suggest 10 more.
Repeat this until you have 50 prospects and make a list
Now install @MeetApollo chrome extension and go to each prospect's LinkedIn.
A sidebar will open which gives you his email. It's like magic.
(sorry again Justin!)
Now you have a service and 50 people with money who suck at the very thing you're good at.
Now we just have to convince them to give you a shot
For prospects you can't find an email for, DM them on their least followed social platform with the same offer.
In Justin's case, he is least followed on Instagram.
So DM him there.
Make your service easy to say yes to
'8 videos for $2000' = bad offer
'8 videos that will 2x your reach = okay offer
'30,000 followers in 5 months or I work for free' = great offer
People make content because it builds audience.
Sell them outcomes.
This email format is great for scoring customers
Initiative
Social Proof
Killer Offer
Yes/No CTA
It's hard to ignore and very easy to say yes to.
Install Snov. io on chrome to see who has opened your emails.
Most won't respond to your first message.
Follow up with each 4 times over the next 30 days.
THIS IS CRUCIAL. DON'T STOP HERE.
You should get at least 5 customers
5 x $2000/month = $10K/month or $120K/year
Pro-tip: Bookmark this thread for future reference.
Now you've got revenue, but no time.
Time to start hiring & delegating.
(Or stay solo if that's your thing)
In your case, you can delegate
- Video editing
- Creating reels
- Quality control
- Team management
Now for Stage 2: Getting to $100k/mo
Time to create leverage.
You need to 1. Get More Sales Leads 2. Shorten Your Sales Cyle 3. Master Operations 4. Hire Great People, Train Them Well
1/ Get More Sales Leads
Specific Goal: Find a way to get 50 leads each month
We're going to use outbound sales baby!
Our email process from earlier is working - so let's turn it into a system and teach other people to do it.
Now hire someone to reach out to 500 people each month using the process you explained here.
2/ Shorten Your Sales Cycle
I recommend you Productize your service like a SaaS.
No Contracts + Easy to Buy + Clear Value = Growing Revenue πΈ
Make it easy for the customer to pay you and get started quickly.
At Assembly, we capture leads in 2 ways:
a. Calendly: Scheduling calls
b. Typeform: Create waitlists (when your capacity is full)
Once someone schedules a call or joins a waitlist, a Zap sends the records to our master database in Notion.
Leads are then auto-sorted by company, lead value, assignee, and urgency. π
3/ Master Operations
Goal: Be able to manage 50+ clients at once
You need to
- Easily Onboard & Educate Clients
- Quickly Assign People to the Work
- Manage Tasks Efficiently
- Always Deliver
We use Memberstack for customer signups instead of complicated contracts
It's so easy - takes 1 minute
- Customers create their account and pays
- Once the payment is received, their sales record is updated to "Active Customer."
- This triggers invitations to Slack & Asana.
To assign work to people, we use a queue.
It looks at current capacity, skillset, and then makes an assignment for new work.
Some Zapier magic.
To manage tasks, we use Asana.
When a customer makes a request, it goes through stages -
- Pick your niche
- Define your packages
- Decide what to charge
- Build your brand
- Create your portfolio
- Build your funnel
- Sell your first customer
- Delivering what you promised
- Scale
What the hell is "Productizing"?
You're going to turn your skill into a service so that anyone can click "Buy Now" and start working with you.
