The main lesson of the 21st century will be that you can't couple economically with a regime that seeks the destruction of your way of life. The only question is whether the Republic still stands when that truth becomes evident.

The CCP seeks the destruction of the Western Democratic system. This is outlined in an internal CCP document called document number 9. chinafile.com/document-9-chi…

They believe Western Democratic norms are designed to destroy the Communist system. The main grievances read like Martin Luther's critique of the Roman Catholic Church:

1. Promoting Western Constitutional Democracy: An attempt to undermine the current leadership and the socialism with Chinese characteristics system of governance.

2. Promoting “universal values” in an attempt to weaken the theoretical foundations of the Party’s leadership.

3. Promoting civil society in an attempt to dismantle the ruling party’s social foundation.

4. Promoting Neoliberalism, attempting to change China’s Basic Economic System.

5. Promoting the West’s idea of journalism, challenging China’s principle that the media and publishing system should be subject to Party discipline.

6. Promoting historical nihilism, trying to undermine the history of the CCP and of New China.

7. Questioning Reform and Opening and the socialist nature of socialism with Chinese characteristics.

The document calls on the party to:

1. Strengthen leadership in the ideological sphere.

2. Guide our party member and leaders to distinguish between true and false theories.

3. Unwavering adherence to the principle of the Party’s control of media.

4. Conscientiously strengthen management of the ideological battlefield.

The CCP's allies in this crusade are the West's elites who have grown wealthy, while the Western working class have been under systematic attack by the CCP and it's allies.

The CCP's success had looked to a global decline in the attractiveness of America's model. America's shine has been tarnished by the loss of manufacturing jobs through out the country. Today DC worries about the supply chain and it's ability to sustain the war machine.

While every day Americans sorry about eroding economic opportunity.

The tragedy of American policy making is the maker's inability to see the two issues are intertwined.

Lack of work is not solved by friendshoring. It is solved by investing in and rebuilding America's manufacturing base.

Yet, we're told this is impossible - as was victory in the two great wars; as was victory in the Cold War, as was splitting the atom or landing a human on the moon.

America's failure is a failure to dream; to acknowledge the challenges and boldly attack them. We have been made fat and soft, as this has been the CCP's main strategy.

Today the dreamers care more about themselves then the idea of America - boldly rushing about to make billions, buy yachts, self-promote. They care nothing of America.

JFK's call to "ask not what your country can do for you" has been replaced with "the country owes me."

It's probably better he and his generation, a generation that sacrificed so much for the American dream, is now mostly gone.
