I've created a Notion template that uses Notion's Custom AI Blocks and the ability for its AI (built on ChatGPT) to remember all content within a Notion page. The template takes a writing prompt as simple as a story genre and begins to work, creating a title and premise... 🧵👇🏾
It then moves on to creating characters and a synopsis. All of which can be adjusted or expanded upon.
Next up, the AI generates an detailed outline following a specific act structure. Again, any of these details can be adjusted and NotionAI can then update the preceding or following output.
The introduction is next. Sometimes it gets it right here, and sometimes it can lean towards an academic writing style and you have to nudge it closer towards the style you're looking for. This is easily done by making your own edits or asking NotionAI to make changes for you.
The chapters come out as drafts broken down into scenes. You can highlight any portion of the text and ask NotionAI to make it longer, but I do suggest adding your own words, ideas, and style so it's not all AI.
This experiment resulted in a cool creative writing assistant. It can also do blogs, newsletters, and social media posts. It's most useful in creative writing, where AI hallucination is a good thing.
