This has been an ongoing problem for some time, apparently. New Zealand wokists have been trying to insert " "Mātauranga Māori" into the curriculum, and give it equal weight to physics, chemistry and maths. I.e. not religious or cultural studies. Here's a taster:

We see similar things happening elsewhere. In South Africa, some students tried to claim science was racist and should be abolished in favour of witch-doctory and superstition.

Watch how they laugh at the student brace enough to say it was "not true".

In Canada, first nations have declared a genocide took place in indigenous schools - ie. Teachers deliberately tortured and murdered children. The lack of any evidence for this is a bit of a problem - so they want to outlaw any debate on it. cbc.ca/news/politics/…

At risk is the very concept of western enlightenment. That's not a problem for the woke, as, for them, all western progress was down to colonialism and stealing other countries resources.

Without any scientific knowledge, society and infrastructure will begin to break down.

When Centrists argue that we should abandon the culture war, they don't understand that the left, genuinely, want to abandon empiricism and the pursuit of truth in favour of anachronistic cultural practices - with 21st century political baggage.

When the woke claim to be on the side of science, as they did with lockdowns, don't believe a word of it - everything they do is in service of constantly shifting political goals and social status.

That's why attacking the transgender movement on the basis that it's unscientific won't work.

Because for them, science is not empirical, rather it is a system of knowledge that has constantly been manipulated by political interests. And now it's their turn.
