and uttering threats.

Chris was scheduled to appear in Court this week (over a year later) on these charges and surprise surprise the case is now delayed until December - meaning this incident for what should be a pretty open and shut case will be almost 2 years before it sees a court room

This is exceptionally unusual and while nothing can be confirmed the man child's connections to our current government makes it a little bit suspicious considering the government has invested heavily in Chris' moms company.

The Crosbie family is a very politically connected family and somewhat of a dynasty in NL. His mom is in many fields including oil & gas, she funded the company for Chris, and is actually married to the president of the Liberal Party of NL (our governing party)

Atlantic Cultivation was given tens of millions in tax breaks on their sales in retail and production. one of three companies to get this treatment. Tweed was one, and the other didn't seem to pan out.

So this already puts Chris and ATL at an advantage over smaller producers.

Retailers also got the shaft here as ATL Cultivation also runs a chain of stores across the island - originally brought in under Spirit leaf the government gave them 5 retail licenses while there were no open calls for more retailers.

So even if a smaller company wanted to come in and try to open a store they couldn't because Cannabis NL wasn't accepting proposals but managed to fit ATL in without an issue.

When Tweed lost the license for one of their stores, again it was handed to Atlantic Cultivation.

So - the government has invested millions through back door deals without any public consult and having the COO brought up and convicted of these things will probably throw the company into shambles. It was several months before someone even broke that it was Chris arrested.

As you can see the first reports omitted the name - references for everything I've talked about have been posted before but in a bit I'll grab the links and post them all.

@SaltWireNews This is Nepotism at its best and very few people seem to want to call it out - Atlantic Cultivation is a big connected Cannabis Co trying to be the cool kid in the room and distract you from that fact.

Chris didn't work for this, it was a position gifted to him by his mom
