Seeing a lot of people who don't understand that one reason Meta would prefer you to Thread from a phone is it provides much better location data.
You silly people!
And no: I am not and have zero intentions on being on Threads.
You should think seriously about journalists who are running to Threads to 1) have all their comms be spied on and 2) be fed an artificially mixed version of truth.
I'm not sure many Americans understand that in Europe there's a saying that "Data is the new oil." You almost never hear it in the US. You hear it all the time in privacy discussions in GDPR-topia.
Think about how they're squeezing you.

WaPo, which of course is badly conflicted in this matter since the biannual right wing leak to Devlin Barrett is at the heart of the crime, is an example.
Lowell's letter is not about the "facts," but instead about "public opinion."
Every single one of the decisions to SHOOT DOWN investigative prongs were about WFO AD Steve D'Antuono, who similarly thwarted the stolen docs case.
D'Antuono left in November, & recently did the Jim Jordan circuit, often a sign someone is trying to get ahead of really bad news
Even tho this story is mostly abt D'Antuono, it doesn't mention something ELSE that D'Antuono should be held accountable for (which happens to be the topic of DOJ IG investigation right now): Why FBI failed to act on intel about Jan6.
This piece falsely claims that "shut down a case against Mr. Trump’s first national security adviser, Michael Flynn" and doesn't mention the word "pardon" once, which is how Trump ACTUALLY "shut down" Flynn's sentencing.
More importantly, and more on point, and more problematic for @jonathanvswan, who proved as credulous as anyone about John Durham's claims, they don't mention Durham (tho @charlie_savage did some of the most important reporting on it).
@jonathanvswan@charlie_savage Here's Swan being UTTERLY snookered by Durham's misleading Danchenko indictment. Just utterly bulldozed.
Today would be a good day for him to correct his false magnification of this false claim.
The other day, lawyers for Ruby Freeman submitted pardoned felon Bernie Kerik's strategic plan to steal the election, which he sent to Mark Meadows on 12/28/2020.
I assume it was previously released but I hadn't looked closely.
Here's how they planned to disseminate their false claims about voter fraud.
Nothing surprising--but it's important bc THIS DOCUMENT makes false claims about Ruby Freeman, which they're suing over.
I read Rudy's depo, in which he professed not to know who the person in charge of social media outreach, TF, was, before I read WaPo's story reflecting an interview with Tom Fitton.
But as someone noted, it all seems to answer itself.
