Want to succeed at presales?
Here's what you ๐ง๐๐๐ ๐ญ๐จ ๐ค๐ง๐จ๐ฐ ๐งต ๐
2/ The thread intro wasn't just for show.
My best friend really became a millionaire from it (she's retired and living in another country now).
Even 60-70% of all the profit I make every bull cycle comes from presales.
There are a lot of dos and don'ts however.
3/ Presales can be a wonderful way to make money and even beat the team and VC tokens at their own game.
There are a few unique set of advantages that we retail have that they don't.
You just need to know what to look out for.
4/ Intro
First things first.
You want to go ahead and bookmark and https://t.co/lPRp2w3DvO
These are your to-go presale websites keeping you up to date on everything.
When you click on any, you can also see where the sale takes place. https://t.co/cvvofGK6Kcicodrops.com cryptorank.com
5/ Basic research
There's a difference whether you are looking at making a long term profit or a short term one.
But in general you do not need to do a full scale investigation for presales.
You just need to look at authenticity of the project and demand.
6/ The authenticity to make sure it's not a rug (launchpads also have a due dilligence team so that helps)
The demand is to ensure the profit performance.
Real and organic Twitter engagement is an incredibly good indicator for that.
It gauges interest in the project.
7/ Make sure the twitter history has a strong track record and shows proof of authenticity:
- Product talk and not token sale talk.
- Multiple month history.
- Effort.
Project demand:
- Good amount of views vs following ratio.
- Non-botted engagement.
- Real comments.
8/ Uncapped / free for all
In general you want to avoid uncapped presales and presales that are really easy to get in.
I know, many of you hate those or hate the launchpad restrictions.
Sucks right? They actually work in your favor post performance.
9/ You are only going to be making a profit if there's demand after the sale.
And who is going to buy your tokens at a higher price when literally every single individual was able to buy it "cheap" yesterday?
Makes sense right.
10/ In 2021 many of the decent projects launched at 50x-100x in day on.
This is not an exaggeration btw. You know I always keep things realistic with you.
It's because many people couldn't get in.
Didn't know about launchpads / had no tokens or weren't selected due to the cap.
11/ That means there were a TON of people absolutely desperate to get their hands on it post presale.
Result? 50x on day one.
All about demand.
So avoid uncapped or free for all crypto's at all cost.
12/ Valuation
Obviously a presale is meant to be an opportunity to buy tokens cheap right?
Well sometimes it isn't.
You could be buying at an insanely overvalued valuation at presale phase.
Look at the ido price and the initial supply at launch.
13/ If the ido is 0.1$ and the circulating supply upon launch is 100 million that means the market cap is already 10 million dollars without even making a profit.
That doesn't even include the total supply (fully dillution) which could even be 100 million dollar +.
14/ Vesting
"All presales are a scam and money grab for the team and VCs noob"
Well sometimes it is but quite often it's not unless you play it according to their rules.
There's an advantage that retail has and that's vesting.
15/ Look at the tokenomics.
Quite often the team and VCs receives 0% of the tokens dus to a cliff period of 6 months or a year.
Yes they might have huge allocations and a lower token price but you will be long gone before that.
16/ This means you shouldn't stare blindly to the fully diluted valuation or the amount of team and VC tokens.
If the ido sale has a long term vesting you should!
But if you receive 100% of tokens at launch or have less than 3 months if vesting, you don't care about it.
17/ Purchase your tokens, make your money and get out.
If you are interested in the long term however holding way past the team and VC unlocks than it will be extremely important to watch the amount of tokens they bought and at which valuation.
18/ Launchpads
"Launchpads are evil!"
Well launchpads are a business like any other but they are not necessarily evil (some are lol!).
They provide a streamlined infrastructure to make an investment and they have a research team (less rug risk).
19/ While there is an added cost involved since you usually have to hold their own token they will post performance profit.
Remember when I talked about demand?
The harder it is to get in the more profit you will have IF you manage to get it.
Crypto is about being early.
20/ Conclusion
Presales are one of the best opportunities I know but there are a lot of dos and don'ts.
Knowing how is key and this thread will help you (or I at least hope it has).
I haven't talked about presales a lot this year because the market didn't always favor it.
21/ But in general I'm actually quite good at it and many of my friends actually use me as a presale radar to get confirmation.
Once the market is in better conditions I'll pick this up on my Timeline way more than I do today.
1/ 90% of people get ๐ก๐๐๐ค๐๐, ๐ซ๐ฎ๐ ๐ ๐๐, ๐จ๐ซ ๐ฌ๐๐๐ฆ๐ฆ๐๐ at least once in crypto.
But most people don't use any of the tools to easily prevent this.

2/ @RevokeCash
When using dapps like Uniswap or OpenSea you have to grant them permission to spend your tokens and NFTs.
This is called a token approval. If you don't revoke these approvals, the dapp can spend your tokens forever. Take back control by revoking your approvals.
3/ @DeDotFi
While DotFi offers more than just 1 security measure I particularly like their contract scanner.
Most of us don't have any programming skills.
Copy and paste the contract address of a token you like see what it says.
