Optimal Trade Entry (OTE) 🎯

A thread 🧵 Image
Before diving into this thread, let me show you how you can use OTE in your trading to improve your win rate and execution.

I highly recommend implementing it into your trading as it can help you tremendously.
In this thread, I will discuss various topics such as:

▫️ Understanding Discount and Premium
▫️ Gaining a Bias with Discount/Premium Analysis
▫️ Understanding OTE
▫️ OTE Fib Levels
▫️ Confluences with FVGs and BRKRs

Hope you enjoy!
▫️ Understanding Discount and Premium

Before talking about OTE, we will explore the concepts of discount and premium.

We'll examine how to identify these levels within the displacement range and overall market range.

This will help refine your trading decisions.
For instance, only enter premium levels as they provide more risk-reward and a better entry.

This way, you can become more disciplined, finding fewer trades but of higher quality.

To set it up, go into your Fib retracement tool settings and turn on the 1, 0 and 0.5 fib levels.

▫️ Gaining a Bias with Discount/Premium Analysis

Discount and Premium can help you overcome bias.

By analyzing HTF/LTF charts, we can predict where prices may pull back in the coming hours, days or weeks, giving you a bias for trades.
▫️ Understanding OTE

Optimal Trade Entry (OTE) is a powerful technique used to identify the best points for market entry during a retracement.

OTE helps anticipate where price is likely to retrace.

The 0.62 and 0.79 fib levels are the ones to watch out for.
▫️ OTE Fib Levels

When a structure breaks, we can use OTE to determine retracement levels, particularly the 0.62 and 0.79 Fibonacci levels.

These levels often act as key support or resistance areas, providing valuable entry opportunities. Image
To set it up, simply go into your Fib retracement tool settings and turn on the 1, 0, 0.5, 0.62 and 0.79 fib levels.

It should look like this:

▫️ Confluences with FVGs and BRKRs

OTE becomes even more effective when combined with other indicators.

By aligning OTE with FVGs and Breakers, I found areas of confluence that strengthen the signal for entry.

This combination enhances the accuracy of trade decisions.
That’s it for today folks!

I hope you enjoyed and found some value in this thread.

Until next time, cheers! 🥂
