A THREAD.
Russian attitude towards money (and work).
Based on my personal observations on- and offline.
Important because some westeners still think russians share their attitudes. They never did.
Russia is a deeply hierarchical country - what a simple person cannot allow himself to do, say etc, a person with money and power can. And if those from the bottom BEHAVE, they will get their punishment sooner or later, so most of them chose not to behave.
Earning money in russia HAS NOTHING TO DO with how qualified you are. You have to know the right people, be with good relations with them and think the way they do - to be part of the gang literally.
In soviet times you should also be an active communist party member. Now - a member of United Russia party. Your skills played literally no role in this. Positions were shared with relatives, lovers etc..
Being a qualified talented individual in such system means only one thing - you will get THE MOST of the workload, the least pay, zero promotions, and the one to blame for all the mistakes made by those "with contacts".
It means work effort is seen as something shameful, something only those of the lower class do and the motto "hard work always pays off" is laughed at in russia. Working is not a value in russian culture, but finding "idiots who will do it for you for free" totally is.
This is why professions as teacher, doctor etc are very low paid and absolutely not respected in russia - it's truly hard work that requires personal effort and high qualification.
Officials of higher rank get both hate and envy as they have what everyone in russia wants - money without any real effort.
So don't be surprised if you see a lot of organizations like FBK gathering donations without any real measurable result - it's another way of enrichment
in russia - grifring and scamming. You say what people want to hear, create a cult around one leader and here you are - pretty well off somewhere in Europe. But of course, if your father is an oligarch (Pevchikh's dad is an oligarch), you get a boost.
You will never see a russian being happy his kid got his first job at a local store - real job experience is not in value among russians, getting money for just having a position - totally is.
This thread is inspired by this post "don't offer me a normal job" good russian, who was asking for donations only.
I was shamed by russians for earning my money the honest way - by working as a cashier as a teen, giving private lessons while being a student at the Uni, and going to work in a local bank as a simple clerk (it changed pretty fast btw), for working honestly, literally.
Still, I am shamed by uneducated russian for teaching Estonian in my own company - why wouldn't I hire some fool to do it for me? They never consider the fact I LOVE doing what I do.

A vatnik from ruzzia is terrified that we know what
INGRIA
is and what russians did to Ingrians.
Let's spread this knowledge around the world.
St. Petersburg, that only russian city that tries to look European because it was built by Italians (and the debt for works for it is still outstanding) - you know it, right? It is built on Ingria land stolen from Ingrians. Killings and deportation followed (usual RU practice).
The region described lies along the southeastern shore of the Gulf of Finland. It is bordered by Lake Ladoga on the Karelian Isthmus in the north and by the River Narva on the border with Estonia in the west.
For those who don’t fully understand what Simonyan is talking about here, a short explanation: 1. ethnically she is Armenian 2. her cultural code is Russian, ruzzki mir. Her values are of ruzzki mir and her views are of ruzzki mir.
Why it’s important?
1/-
Being ethnically russian and a part of ruzzki mir is not the same thing. You can be australian/german/hindu/… and share ruzzki mir values. And you can be ethnically russian without sharing ruzzki mir values (pretty rare yet happens). 2/-
Ruzzki mir is a cultural concept, system of values and hierarchies, not ethnicity. How to recognise if a person with ruzzki mir values? 3/-
Carl Gustaf Emil Mannerheim (4.06.1867, Louhisaare Manor -1951, Lausanne, Switzerland) was a Finnish military leader and statesman who played a significant role in shaping Finland's history.
But he is not only a great military and statesman.
Mannerheim was incredibly active, what cost him exclusion from Hamina Military School. Yet in 1887, Gustaf entered the famous St. Petersburg Cavalry School. After graduating, In January 1891, he joined the Chevalier Guard Regiment in St Petersburg.
This allowed Mannerheim access to high society, up to the tsar's court. Mannerheim served in the Imperial Chevalier Guard until 1904. In 1896, he took part in the coronation of Emperor Nicholas II, standing for four hours in his full-dress Imperial Chevalier Guard uniform.
A thread. Not all ruzzians are loud, drink until they die, use swearwords instead if commas and behave like … we read in the reports on russian atrocities. There is the other type - FOREVER VICTIM. Sweet, innocent, charming, often well-educated (in 🗑🇷🇺 standards) 1/*
They might draw, know a lot if totally impractical things, don’t demand anything (yet) and quietly write in their LJ/TG/Twitter/Instagram about their unique inner world. They use westernised words, follow Western media, but in a very twisted way (hard to explain).
You wonder why i speak about those innocent creatures? Because they do literally only two things - whine and nothing. Their whole life is about their suffering from literally anything. Do they take any actions to change their lives?
As ruzzians of all kind claim everyone who hates ruzzki mir is a nazi, I have news for you - no one would hate ruzzians if they were peaceful respectful people who have partnerships with other countries based on respect, equality, and international law. 1/*
No one hates ruzzians because they are ruzzians, but because they started ANOTHER genocidal war without even trying to repay the damage of their previous genocidal wars. 2/*
No one hates ruzzians because they are born ruzzians, but because their attitude towards other countries and nations is chauvinistic and hateful on every level. 3/*
You might ask - why do I write all those posts about "good russians being rebranded vatniks". I want people of the free world to understand that it's NOT their leaders or propaganda, it's their imperialistic culture that comes from an upbringing in ruzzian mir. 1/2
It is not inborn but a result of the value system they are exposed to from the very birth - the cult of power and violence, the superiority complex, and chauvinism. Unfortunately very hard to change it in adult age.
They have only two operation modes - aggressor or a victim - to choose from. The aggressor is this typical Z-tard and the victim is a Russian liberal, who claims he cannot do anything. And as you might know - those modes switch as soon as an aggression opportunity arrives.
