The easy thing to do is feed the conservative content churn about civil war. The hard thing is asking yourself why these poor old people were blindfolded and earmuffed and told to stand in front of an oncoming train by people who knew they didn't stand a chance.
That is a good question. But I think the bigger story is that this scheme was doomed to fail but organized anyway and now these people are paying the price.
