Explanation to Michael Jackson’s changing appearance: A Thread 🧵
Skin: Michael Jackson 100% dealt with vitiligo, it is on the autopsy report and the picture above is a real Polaroid picture taken by Brad Sunberg who worked with Michael during the Bad era and after. If you’re arguing against an autopsy. You don’t need to even speak on the topic
The autopsy also mentioned that MJ did in fact use a cream treatment called Benoquin. Benoquin IS NOT a cosmetic skin bleach it is for people with extensive vitiligo. Michael was highly insecure about his vitiligo and Michael lived in a time where vitiligo was not accepted.
The media would’ve definitely made fun of his skin disorder, they made of fun of his Pepsi burn and being very racist towards him. What makes you think they weren’t gonna go for this skin? Plus I’ve seen many people that poke fun of people that show their vitiligo to this day.
Many people have took the route of using Benoquin, it doesn’t mean they hate being black. They don’t wanna deal with the spots anymore and they know their melanin isn’t gonna come back so they might as well finish off the rest of the melanin left.
Hair: On January 27th 1984, Michael was filming a Pepsi commercial with his brothers. The sparks were set off to early, causing his hair to burn off. This resulted to Michael wearing hairpieces at first but eventually going to wigs once the rest of his hair fell out
Michael went through multiple head surgeries to try to get his hair back, one in the 90s that used a balloon to expand the skin scalp, in hopes to cover the burn spot and hair to grow this ultimately failed. This is why MJ had a fedora on a lot in the early 90s
Surgeries: Michael never denied having plastic surgery. You probably seen the clip of MJ denying it but if you actually watched the whole clip, he admits to having surgery.
This is from MJ’s autobiography Moonwalk from 1988
In 1979, Michael broke his nose while dancing and need nose surgery. The nose surgeries after was a mix of medical problems and cosmetics.
With Michael’s nose, he used to contour it a lot which is why it would look very small in certain pictures. In 2003 he tried to bring some of his nose back by using ear cartilage to bring the bridge of his nose back. Michael’s face stayed relatively the same.
At the end of the day. MJ was a PROUD BLACK man and was very in tune with his blackness. I leave y’all off with a letter of Michael’s talking about how it was time for a Black King. That Black King would be him. Thank you Mike. R.I.P
