π·πΊπΊπ¦ Most likely, the modified S-200 missile used on Taganrog was launched from the Zaporizhia area. At least one S-200 system has been deployed there for the last couple months.
A few other S-200 systems are located in Odessa, Kharkiv and Kherson regions. They are periodically used to strike Crimea and Belgorod Region.
In fact, the situation with the modernized Soviet anti-air missiles is interesting. They showed up after more than a dozen failed attacks from Ukraine's Grom-2. These systems were regularly used to try to hit Crimea, but were always either shot down or went way off target.
Apparently, the Grom-2 trials are seen as having failed, and so work was done to the S-200, which has a bigger payload. Now they're trying to use them everywhere instead of Grom-2s. It's hard to remember when the Grom was even last used.

π·πΊπΊπ¦ This afternoon, reports appeared that Russian troops launched a missile attack on Snake Island. There were no official reports, but it was indirectly confirmed by the activity of Ukrainian sailors in the Snake Island area.
Why strike a location where there was practically nothing left since the summer of last year? With the start of the grain deal, Ukrainian authorities returned to the island again. Zelensky's recent visit there only confirms this.
This small piece of land has a very valuable geographical position, from which the situation in the western, southwestern and partly central parts of the Black Sea is clearly visible with the right equipment and the absence of threats.
