With a goal in either half at home, Bournemouth defeated Man City to secure their first Premier League win and to defeat the champions and runners-up. The BOU players played perfectly staying deep in a low, well-organized block before rushing forward and overloading the flanks to give Gvardiol and Walker a lot of headaches. Man City had trouble handling counter attacks once more. It's rather obvious, and most opponents benefited from it.

Following their goal, Bournemouth sat back and absorbed the pressure for the rest of the first half. In the second half, the sequence would repeat itself, with City dominating the game but finding it difficult to score. This would allow the home team enough time to extend their lead, this time through Evanilson, who was again provided by Kerkez. Brooks hit the post, before Gvardiol’s header.

Semenyo was incredible, lively, City defenders couldn’t deal with him, falling to the ground. This season he is more direct which is great addition to his dribbling. He had 4 shots in the box and 2 big chances. He created big chance to Evanilson that was saved. 𝗛𝗘 𝗜𝗦 𝗢𝗡𝗘 𝗢𝗙 𝗧𝗛𝗘 𝗧𝗢𝗣 𝗧𝗔𝗥𝗚𝗘𝗧𝗦 𝗙𝗢𝗥 𝗡𝗘𝗫𝗧 𝟭𝟬 𝗚𝗪𝗦.

Evanilson should’ve scored a brace and his positions were decent. He is one of the good forwards that we should consider but Semenyo, cheaper and has more routes into points blocking getting him.

Kerkez improved recently and looked advanced in counters, providing 2 assists from 2 big chances created.

Lewis benched for Walker who had an awful performance again. I think it is a positive sign for Rico Lewis in upcoming game weeks and see him the 1st option for Pep.

Gvardiol started to be one of Pep’s weapon that he uses in set pieces. He reminds me of Gabriel last season and had 2 headers.

Haaland had good positions in the box but needed to concentrate with decisions and accuracy. He missed 2 huge opportunities for scoring (created by Foden), one of them was twice in quick succession from close range deep in extra time.

Last GWs when Haaland blanked he was restricted and rarely got big chances. This time he registered 2 big chances and was unlucky, but I think it’s still less than City’s usual high-quality chances. City struggled recently against any deep block, but De Bruyne is finally back and is positive for Haaland owners. If you’ve fed up with Haaland, I recommend getting Salah who plays in more trusted system and has amazing games vs. Villa and Southampton in next 2 GWs.

🔴 𝗟𝗶𝘃𝗲𝗿𝗽𝗼𝗼𝗹 (𝟭.𝟵𝟱) 𝟮-𝟭 (𝟭.𝟭𝟱) 𝗕𝗿𝗶𝗴𝗵𝘁𝗼𝗻 🔵

After leading for 70 minutes, a well-organized Brighton team lost to Liverpool in the second half. Verbruggen had a good game and was able to keep BHA ahead for a long time before Gakpo's fortunate goal. Thankfully, Darwin didn't touch it to miss it as usual and, drew the Reds even after Kadioglu's early goal. The Egyptian King's incredible strike was what finally secured the Premier League summit.

Tsimikas seems to be ahead of Robbo in order. His threat was from set pieces, that Slot relied much on it and he created 3 amazing chances for scoring.

Konate nearly scored (Header) and subbed early injured but his hand isn’t broken and should be fit for next game.

Gakpo wide, creative. Darwin central and sometimes overlapping with Gakpo. He had only 1 chance saved.

Salah caused headache to Estpinan and I think Estupinan is going to be a weakness point in Brighton backline when he starts. Foden and Semenyo will face him in next 2 GWs. Salah has one of his usual brilliant shots and missed an easy big chance created by Darwin. Salah was advanced and sharp. One of the most consistent assets in the game and you should bring him as he is going to be the best captain for next 2 game weeks.

Alexander-Arnold has improved defensively under Slot and his decisions were great. Mitoma made him less advanced, but his long balls were wonderful and He created 2 chances.

In addition to his assist, Welbeck was taking some direct free kicks which is good advantage for him. Great value and consistency and should be priority transfer after City game.

Rutter missed 1v1 chance, thanks to Kelleher who saved his counter attack. He proved his talent in last few game weeks and let’s monitor his minutes ahead of their decent fixture run as Pedro is back

Unless you own Palmer, you’re simply fu*ked

I’m going to be aggressive on some players in this thread but please avoid early transfers this week due to the midweek European matches and any updates and injuries that could happen.

🔵 No KDB or Rodri has huge impact on Man City and Haaland. The benching of Savio and Doku played another role, tbh.

🔵 Haaland limited chances. I don’t think NEW was solid defensively.

🔵 Gvardiol advanced freely while Walker restricted as CB. Brilliant finish!
