Anyone who cannot fathom how Hitler got control of Germany need only look at Trump’s hold on the base of the GOP and the refusal of GOP leaders who know what is happening to call out his criminal conduct.
The GOP will destroy America with their Trump love (and fear of his cult-like base) if others don’t rally to prevent it! Thank you WSJ editors for recognizing the situation and speaking out.
Now Elmo wants to give these folks a place to gather so he has created an American swastika — an X — a symbol for our sink into authoritarianism. This one’s happy forum called Twitter, symbolized by a chubby and cute bluebird, is becoming a dark and foreboding sewer. Sad.

It seems Trump’s lawyers are trying to protect his lie that he declassified all the Mar A Largo documents. GOP does not want him to declare until after 11/08 so he needs the lie. He feels (rightly) he won’t be indicted until after the midterms. After the midterms he will declare!
As a POTUS candidate he is not only the center of attention but he can claim any indictment is a political act to keep him out of the Oval Office. Running for POTUS is his best defense from going to jail. Who knows, he might convince one or more juror! If he wins…. No. He won’t!
Trump will be indicted in a RICO action in GA, and federally for Obstruction of Justice (at minimum) for his theft of classified information, plus Seditious Conspiracy and Conspiracy to Defraud (at minimum) for Jan 6th. In short, he should face three criminal cases BEFORE 2024!

Trump's National Archives (NARA) representative (John Solomon) released a May 10, 2022 letter to make the point that the Biden White House was behind the FBI investigation of his misuse of classified national security information. In fact, the letter shows the exact opposite.
The letter also shows that Trump tried to invoke Executive Privilege against his predecessor, Biden. But that Nixonian move was knocked down by the Supreme Court in Nixon v GSA (1977). See the NARA letter int.nyt.com/data/documentt…
The May 10 letter shows NARA followed the law to the letter, reporting a serious violation of national security to DOJ. The letter reveals Trump stalled and stalled and stalled. NARA gave them 13 months before discovering the massive and criminal breach of security by Trump.

To not charge ALL involved in planning, aiding, abetting, and conspiring regarding the 1/6 insurrection, and now covering it up, would be the historical equivalent of ONLY PROSECUTING THE FIVE MEN ARRESTED on 06.17.72 at the DNC’s Watergate offices trying to bug the place. 1/5
It took 928 days to hold ALL the KEY players responsible for Watergate with the convictions of Nixon’s former attorney general, chief-of-staff, and top assistant on 01.01.1975. The 1/6 investigation is early. DOJ will give NO PASSES for the democracy harming crimes of 1/6. 2/5
The 1/6 investigations are moving faster than Watergate. Mid-term 2022 elections will not change the focus of DOJ. The 2024 election will not change DOJ’s actions. 1/6 is FAR FROM OVER — of that I am certain. To think otherwise is to misunderstand the career lawyers at DOJ! 3/5

The statement accompanying Trump’s Christmas pardons shows (1) insiders arranged them, (2) they’re all political, and (3) the underlying conduct is mischaracterized most every instance, particularly Mueller’s prosecutions. Undoubtedly, more will follow. whitehouse.gov/briefings-stat…
Pam Bondi is responsible for three of these pardons. Was she paid to lobby for them?
Duncan Hunter’s pardon is an injustice. He was headed to 11 months in prison. His wife got 8 months home confinement. They used his campaign funds to live the high life. When discovered she confessed and cooperated. He denied. Lied. Blamed her. Now he gets a pass, she a smack!
