Nitric oxide sprays aren't approved for sale in many countries yet (including in places where they were developed!), but they can be ordered online. For example, Enovid is available from Israel. Trouble is, they're quite expensive.
There are other products out there that claim to be effective, but I am not sure whether there is research to back this up.
Have you used nitric oxide? Are there other products that have shown promise in real trials? Let us know.
Some other options listed below for which there is at least some supporting data. I am just listing them, haven't tried them, not endorsing or recommending them...
There are also several studies that suggest benefits of simple saline nasal rinses (e.g., neti pot or other devices). If you do this, *boil the water first!* (and let it cool, obvs) -- you don't need a brain-eating amoeba on top of everything else.
Some nasal sprays marketed for colds are readily available and might be effective against SARS-CoV-2 (though data are limited). For example, Vick's Early Defense has been tried.
Speaking mostly of Canada here, but some of the general points should be applicable in various places. 🧵

Recall that XBB (Gryphon) did not cause a huge wave on its own. XBB.1.5 (Kraken) was the first recombinant variant to become globally dominant, but it likewise did not cause a big wave on its own (as we said it probably wouldn't).
I've been asked what I think of the planned update to monovalent boosters that target XBB.1.5 (Kraken), which will be the case for Pfizer, Moderna, and Novavax. 🧵

I think updating boosters is a good idea. The existing options target either Wild Type + BA.1 or WT + BA.5. BA.1 hasn't been in wide circulation since the first Omicron wave, and BA.5 (and descendants like BQs) mostly fizzled out around the world after the XBBs took over.

The notable exception is the massive wave in China (> 1 billion infections) which was driven by BA.5s. There is now a second XBB* surge there, which raises the strong possibility of recombinants of BA.5s x XBBs.
