Few thoughts on youthias bashing Qatar's potential $3b investment as some sort of asset-stripping.
PIA is a loss making entity. It turns in around 40b to 50b in losses every year and its total losses stand in the range of 400b to 500b. It is by no means an 'asset'. (1/7)
It suffers from a horrible reputation, aging and overinflated crew, and a disastrous air-safety record with more major crashes in lesser time than any other, similar carrier. (2/7)
We should bite the hands off anyone offering a single rupee in exchange for it as automatically the losses will be off our books and we'll be on our way to having a proper airline serving domestic and international routes from Pakistan. (3/7)
