🚨@ElonMusk has claimed he is a free speech absolutist, but he is now using his attorneys to try to silence CCDH with bogus legal threats.
Billionaires can’t bully us or our attorney @kaplanrobbie. Here’s our response ⤵️

You read that right. The richest man in the world is spending time & money to silence his critics with “lawfare”.
@ElonMusk’s lawyers sent us a letter filled with what our attorney described as "ridiculous" threats.
#MuskMeltdown
Before @ElonMusk’s lawyers threatened CCDH with legal action, Musk used his own platform to bully us.
He called us ‘evil’ and our CEO @imi_ahmed a ‘rat’.

Elon Musk is targeting CCDH because we’re a leading voice exposing how hate speech & lies skyrocketed on Twitter under his ownership.
By threatening us, @ElonMusk is trying to hide the truth about his own failures and save his plummeting ad revenues.

“Elon Musk wants to silence his critics so he can continue to give a megaphone to hate and misinformation while avoiding the consequences.” - CCDH CEO @Imi_Ahmed.
We stand by our research and won’t be intimidated by Musk’s threats.

The anti-choice movement places ads promoting fake clinics on @Google Search, targeting people seeking reproductive healthcare.
Fake clinics claim to offer independent advice but in reality weaponize fear and lies to restrict abortion care.
What did we find?
71% of fake clinics websites used at least 1 deceptive technique:
➡️ 16% promoted misleading claims about abortion
➡️ 38% failed to clearly state that they don't provide abortions
➡️ 40% promoted unproven and potentially unsafe abortion pill “reversal”
🚨 NEW: Twitter is failing to act on 99% of hate speech posted by Twitter Blue users.
Our research in @thedailybeast shows that, for just $8 a month, users not only get a 'blue tick' but have their hateful content boosted by Elon Musk’s Twitter.🧵 thedailybeast.com/twitter-fails-…
CCDH reported tweets from 100 Twitter Blue subscribers containing neo-Nazi, racist, homophobic, antisemitic or conspiracy content.
After 4 days, 99% of the tweets were still up on Twitter and none of the accounts had been removed.
This cash-for-hate business model breaks Twitter’s own rules.
We tested Bard's guardrails against harmful content by creating a list of 100 false and harmful narratives on topics including climate change, vaccines, Covid-19, conspiracy theories, anti-LGBTQ+ hate, sexism, antisemitism, and racism.
The results were shocking 👇
Our research shows that Bard can generate text promoting false and harmful narratives without any additional context negating the false claims.
In its current state, malicious individuals can weaponize AI to spread lies at scale.
CCDH identified over 1.7 million tweets and retweets since the start of 2022 that mention the LGBTQ+ community alongside slurs such as “groomer” and “pedophile”.
Over the past year, the LGBTQ+ community has been targeted by a wave of abuse centered on the false and hateful lie that they ‘groom’ children, often directed at teachers, Pride events and drag story hour events.
Hi @PrimeVideo, your ad was placed alongside reinstated Neo-Nazi Andrew Anglin who tweeted “the only career that a woman is actually capable of on merit is prostitution.”
Google Ads running on the keywords “why is climate change fake” directed users to a Daily Wire article promoting the idea that climate change is a “hoax” despite a 2021 promise from Google not to profit from ads promoting climate denial.
