SitRep - 01/08/23 - Moscow hit by UAVs, again

An overview of the daily events in the war between Russia and Ukraine. Moscow was again hit by Ukrainian drones last night. Less intense than the previous attack, but again a ministerial building was hit. Air defense? Anyone?

As usual we start with Russian losses per 01/08/23 reported by the Ukrainian general staff. 250K is in sight.

+500 men
+5 tanks
+17 APVs
+23 artillery pieces
+2 AD systems
+10 UAVs Image
Russia said it had destroyed 3 naval drones that attacked 2 patrol ships in the Black Sea. More on that in the next post, because something isn't quite right about that claim, it seems...
Russia seems to be lying about the true outcome of the attack (as usual) as intercepted comms suggest the situation might be way worse with even wounded and dead sailors.
Overnight/early morning, Ukraine attacked Moscow again. The same IQ-quarter building which hosts several departments of Russian ministries was targeted. The damage was minor but it says enough about the (in)capabilities of Russian AD in the capital
A Russian MT-12 Rapira was destroyed
The 110th destroyed several hideouts and pieces of Russian equipment. Shooting fish in a barrel..
On the left bank, the AFU destroyed a Russian warehouse
Amazing footage of HIMARS strikes on the left bank of the Kherson region.
An ammo depot between Makiivka-Yasynuvata was hit.
Sevastopol was hit today. Early intel shows that a military site (possibily a Kalibr-missile warehouse) was struck. We will have to wait for satellite images to confirm the damage
Let's continue with the general events. The US is ramping up munition supplies by concluding agreements with several countries like Bulgaria and South Korea while talks with Japan are ongoing
Kherson was struck heavily by Russia today. A part of the clinical hospital was hit. As a result, a doctor died (who just started working there..)
Negotiations between Ukraine and the US regarding the security guarantees will start this week
As promised, Slovakia handed over the first two Zuzana 2 SPH's to Ukraine. 14 more will follow
Ukraine has started the production of the Rubaka kamikaze drone (from the outside, it has much similarities with the Shahed-drone).
The US is still waiting for European officials to submit the final plan for Ukrainian pilot training on the F-16.
To the front, Vasylivka axis:

➡️After attacks in recent days towards Verbove-Novoprokopivka, the AFU has consolidated new territory.
➡️There is very preliminary information that the AFU passed Robotyne from the east and arrived at the defense line of Novoprokopivka. Unconfirmed. Image
Russians evacuating their wounded in the gray zone south east of Robotyne. This particular area was subject to large scale attacks recent days by Ukrainian forces.
Kreminna axis, some adjustments:

➡️The initial Russian push towards Tors'ke is smaller than initially thought
➡️The area in the Kreminna forest under Russian control, on the other hand, is larger.
➡️AFU defensive positions hold. RU offensive operations appear to be weakening. Image
Russians positions in Kreminna forest were bombed by Ukrainian artillery crews.
Not much news from other parts of the front. Romanov gave his vision on the Velyka Novosilka axis, mocking Russian media that claimed a counter attack was succesful.
DeepState released footage from the 35th Marine Brigade, showing (somewhat short and blurry) Russian soldiers south of Staromaiors'ke running away/retreating. This was the supposed counter attack the 29th which completely failed before it even started.

SitRep - 30/07/23 - AFU moving forward

An overview of the daily events in the war between Russia and Ukraine. Ukraine is moving forward around Urozhaine and Pryyutne while also progress towards Melitopol is reported. The offensive is definitely picking up steam.
