Education time! A loophole has been discovered affecting users of @opensea and @rarible which allows your NFT to be sold at a previously listed price, even if it doesn't currently show that it's listed for sale. Let's dive deeper: 🧵
1/ Before we go farther, please don't panic. We're writing this in the interest of being proactive and keeping our community safe. We'll be using @opensea as an example for this as they are the most used platform, but this is not exclusive to OpenSea or any one platform.
2/ Prior to looking at the loophole, let's go over some blockchain fundamentals. When you list an NFT for sale on OpenSea, you are granting approval to OpenSea to transfer that NFT, and establishing that approval on the blockchain.
