"Gabbie collabed with a rapist"

This is false, and has been debunked both by the fans, by Gabbie, and by Jessi Smiles herself. Gabbie never collabed with a rapist.

The reason people believe this is because of this vine Curtis did, but respectfully that wasn't the body type Gabbie had when that vine was filmed.

"Gabbie left her best friend for her rapist"

Again, this is not true. The reason people believe this is because of the same reason listed above. On top of this, Gabbie Hanna and Jessi Smiles weren't friends, let alone "best friends".

"Gabbie is a rape apologist"

Not true. Jessi Smiles misspoke and spread the rumor that Gabbie was a rape apologist. The term 'rape apologist' is a buzzword and has no set definition. What we DO know is that in 2014 with one (1) tweet, Gabbie did partake in rape culture.

"Gabbie made P3d0 tweets"

This is half true. Gabbie did make a couple inappropriate tweets in 2011-2012 when she was 20-22, one of these being a popular meme at the time. She would delete and apologize for these tweets, and continue to educate herself on how to be better.

After this, however, people tried to say that Gabbie was being a p3d0 with this tweet. The fact of the matter is, this tweet was commentary about the instinct for babies to look for breasts for food. Babies don't care if its their mother, they're hungry.

"Gabbie made a storytime about a dead girl"

This is true. People try to frame this as "Gabbie Hanna profiting off of a dead girl" but following that narrative ignores the fact that the girls mother asked for Gabbie to keep all the videos up related it as to spread awareness -

- to the struggles with teenager addiction, depression, and how easy it is for that to become you or your child. Gabbie not only profusely apologized, but followed the families wishes. That's what is MOST important in that situation. It was removed when Gabbie left YouTube.

"Gabbie d0xx3d minors"

This is not true. First off, d0xx1ng is the act of PUBLISHING private information. Next, we need to know the story behind what happened.

A fan named Erin had lied about being abused and SA'ed, and when this got exposed Erin became VERY violent and began to threaten other fans with guns. Very shortly after this, someone joined Gabbie Patreon. She would IP trace them to make sure it wasn't Erin.

Erin is an adult, so even if Gabbie were this evil devil-woman, she never would've been d0xx1ng minors? On top of this, Gabbie never did a single thing with the information, and her only intent was to kick and ban Erin from the Patreon had it been her.

Eventually the video of Gabbie talking about this situation would leak, and this is where the myth that Gabbie d0xx3d minors came from.

"Gabbie lied about her manic episode"

This isn't true. Gabbie has posted about dealing with mania long before she got a diagnosis, and this is because bipolar runs in her family. She always knew it was a possibility she'd have it, and it went undetected to the public -

- when she became symptomatic. It wasn't until Gabbie hit a full blown psychosis episode (which she never expected due to her being DX'd with bipolar 2, not bipolar 1) she lost all ability to control her behaviors. Because of this, she was incapable of lying.

Gabbie talked about hearing things, seeing things, being the reincarnation of God, she believed the world was ending and believed anyone reaching out to help her in that state was reaching out BECAUSE the world was ending, and she talked about getting visions.

All in all, Gabbie lying about her mania serves her no purpose, in fact, it would only make her look worse. There's no logical reason for her to lie. It doesn't give her "clout" bc everyone thinks she's crazy. It doesn't excuse what she did cuz thats not how BP works. So why?

"Gabbie is a scammer"

Not true. People believe this because of the 'Kenza cosmetics' incident. The true story behind Kenza was this: a company VERY similar to 'wish' or 'aliexpress' was asking YouTubers to promote their synthetic make up brushes, "just pay shipping".

When people ordered their brushes, it took awhile to ship because Kenza outsourced their stock. While packages were still shipping, people accused Gabbie of scamming them by promoting Kenza, simply because they hadn't gotten their brushes yet.

People were stating that they would NEVER receieve their brushes, and that "if they did, it would be bad quality". When the brushes DID arrive, they were average quality. People were still upset at Gabbie because they still thought Kenza was a scam.

Gabbie told people to manage their expectations, because they got exactly what they were advertised. Kenza never marketed themselves as one of a kind, or special, or anything that they weren't. And neither did Gabbie.

In the end, people felt both Kenza and Gabbie scammed them because "they were outsourced" which is exactly why Gabbie was correct to say "manage your expectations". Outsourcing is VERY very normal and even reputable brands do it.

"Gabbie didn't fulfill her Patreon perks in 2020"

This one is also half true. Gabbie was dealing with a lot in 2020 and was heavily suicidal. During this time, she took a break from the internet.

When she did return to Patreon in July (a month before her public return) she wouldn't do any of her Q/A's or group video calls but instead would do all access livestreams to update about her life and listen to music.

Around this time, one of Gabbie's discord mods would contact Gabbie in regards to their concerns at her lack of activity and tendancy to ignore the higher tier Patreon members forming a clique both publicly and privately, alienating the non-Patreon members.

Gabbie would make a statement asking about the cliques forming, but informed her mods as to why she was inactive and not fulfilling perks (read: she was trying to stay ALIVE).

"Gabbie threatened to sue her fans"

This is also not true. This is related to the above mentioned situation.

The mods would become upset with how Gabbie was handling and running the server, and they would begin to harass other members in the chat for the things being talked about in the server (outside of the moderator chat) before sending a google doc with all of their complaints.

The mods would eventually make their own server, and quit after sending the google doc in the general chat (not the mod chat). Unbeknownst to them, they accidentally added one of Gabbie's active mods into their new server, and this mod added Gabbie.

Gabbie would go on to ask everyone included in the harassment of her fans and attempting to create chaos in her own server for their personal information because the discord server was a paid perk of Patreon: they just fucked with Gabbie's job.

Because of this, Gabbie was advised by her lawyers to collect their data in case they needed to take this further and send and C&D's. Gabbie even addressed in her docuseries how she was "suing everybody in 2020", we now know her ex mods included.

These people were clearly NOT fans anymore, and on top of this, Gabbie never pursued anything. Gabbie never sued anyone, let alone her fans.

"Gabbie lied about a stranger breaking into her house"

False. The reason people believe this is because they also believe Gabbie faked her manic episode. Gabbie was liveposting that day and we know for a fact that Nick was a stranger to her. It was just her having bipolar.

"Gabbie partook in a contest for new unknown artists despite being well known"

This is mischaracterized. Gabbie partook in a contest called 'Opening Act' which states they are for "artists from across the country showcase their music mastery".

It's unknown why people thought Opening Act was for new or unknown artists, because it NEVER has been.
