SitRep - 07/08/23 - 22 defenders were returned from captivity

An overview of the daily events in the war between Russia and Ukraine. Russia again attacked civilians in Ukraine. The AFU appears to have resumed the operational offensive after rotations.

As usual we start with Russian losses per 07/08/23 reported by the Ukrainian. The losses exceeded 250.000. A staggering number if you think about it.

A Ka-52 attack helicopter was destroyed by units of the 47th Mechanized Brigade.
A Russian tank and two Russian soldiers were hit in a FPV drone attack
A D-30 howitzer and two 2S1 Gvozdika self propelled howitzers were destroyed
Several pieces of Russian equipment destroyed on the left bank.
A recon complex was destroyed in Bakhmut
A BMP-1 destroyed by the 72nd mechanized
Another D-30 howitzer destroyed, west of Staromaiors'ke.
Let's continue with the general events. Putin and Erdogan might already meet by the end of August.
The SBU has detained a woman who was gathering info for a missile strike during a recent visit of President Zelenskyi.
22 Ukrainian servicemen were returned from Russian captivity.

To the front, Velyka Novosilka:

➡️Russian Vostok Batallion confirms the AFU has entered Urozhaine. Later, Ukrainian sources added this is likely the northern part where the AFU grabbed a foothold
➡️AFU keeps pressuring west of Staromaiors'ke towards Pryyutne and Zavitne Image

Bakhmut-Kurdyumivka:

➡️Russia counterattacked in the northern part of Klishchiivka but were thrown back behind the railway tracks
➡️There is preliminary info that the AFU has crossed the railway tracks north of Kurdyumivka and is attacking its northern outskirt Zelenopillya. Image
Regarding Svatove-Karmazynivka I refer to the post I made earlier today
Vasylivka-Robotyne:

➡️AFU has expanded its area of certain control with ±5.5km² while deepening the gray zone SE/E of Robotyne, in Robotyne itself and towards Verbove
➡️Preliminary info that the AFU made gains near Kopani. Changed the gray zone
➡️Fighting E/SE of Robotyne Image
In the center of Robotyne an approaching T-72 tank was destroyed. It does indicate that Russia can have presence inside the town, but doesn't dominate it anymore. The town is likely now a gray zone.
