In the past, there have been instances where states have attempted to deny ballot access to certain candidates. For example, in the 1876 presidential election, there were disputes in several states over the validity of electoral votes. The situation was resolved by the Electoral Commission Act of 1887, which established a commission to determine the validity of electoral votes and ultimately led to the election of Rutherford B. Hayes.
If states like Maine, Colorado, or others try to deny Republican candidates ballot access through political and bureaucratic means, it is an undeniable FACT that the House of Representatives has the authority to assess the authenticity of electors from those states. This means that if blue states try to influence the election process, the House will ultimately decide whether or not to certify the electors. This protects the process by ensuring that it remains fair and balanced.
Historically, the House of Representatives has been pivotal in resolving electoral disputes. In the 2000 presidential election, for example, the House had to intervene to settle a dispute over the vote count in Florida. The House eventually validated George W. Bush's election as president.
