1/11 I have a friend, who I highly respect, who has been swept into the @VivekGRamaswamy fervor. This prompted me to do some additional research on Vivek, including reading his most recent book, "Nation of Victims." What I found:

2/11 Vivek has a fundamental misunderstanding of how the left operates. He thinks you can work with them in good faith. I.e. he supports renaming the confederate statues, including the Lee and Jackson statues in Charlottesville, after Confederate Gen. Longstreet.

3/11 The Left never cared about the statues. It is about a Marxist cultural revolution. Vivek thinks he could have come to Cville and had a dialogue with the City Council about the statue names and everyone would have walked out friends and with a compromise. He doesn't get it.

4/11 Vivek also called August 12, 2017 a "white supremacist protest." Proves he doesn't understand the use of narratives by the Left. He bought into the narrative of 8/12/17 while Trump didn't. The protest was mainly about saving our cultural heritage from the radical Left.

5/11 Vivek, contrary to what he told @DC_Draino and @RealCandaceO, believes the official gov't narrative of the 2020 election. e says anyone who believes there was fraud and the election was stolen needs to move on and stop acting like a victim.

6/11 Vivek, like other members of the Wall St GOPe, supports unconditional free trade and zero tariffs. He believes the over 6.5 million Americans who have lost their jobs since China entered the WTO should find jobs in the "new economy," i.e "elder care, teaching & service jobs"

7/11 This doesn't even get into Vivek's support of the vaccine, "we should aim to safely vaccinate everyone," or masks or mRNA technology. The bottom line is Vivek is a typical Wall St corporatist Republican but is better spoken than most. A wolf in sheep's clothing.

8/11 This thread was inspired by American hero Rich Higgins' memorial service yesterday. He taught me how the Left operates. From his must read report titled "Re-Remembering the Mis-Remembered Left: The Left’s Strategy and Tactics To Transform America"

9/11 Narratives that conservative leaders neither control or understand drive national policy. When GOP leaders shrink from Constitutional principles for fear of being accused of racism, sexism, homophobia, etc., they are subordinating those principles to Marxist narratives.

10/11 By submitting to these narratives, establishment Republicans first become pliant, and then obedient to the Left, accommodating it through “words that work” that create the illusion of opposition while actually signaling surrender, becoming the defeat mechanism of the Left.

11/11 Maybe I should send @VivekGRamaswamy a copy? :)
