THREAD: How Ice Cream is heathier than every single fraudulent modern "Health food" - salad, brocolli, avocadoes, and others.
Not only is ice cream one of the healthiest foods in this world, these nutritonally void dishes are actively harmful to human health.
Unlike with the McDonald's thread, I will preface this by saying that this is something ACTUALLY healthy. You can eat this every single day. There is no downside. It's not something that's "Surprisingly not that bad," this is actually extremely good.
This is REAL ice cream:
Cream (Ideally, raw)
Raw pasture raised eggs
Berries, raw honey, cane sugar, spices, other natural additives.
Mixed together and frozen.
Delicious, rich in minerals, vitamins, also very high in calories, which is good.
Cream, that is- milk fat, is extremely satuated- completely opposite of seeds and seed oils-hence it is extremely pleasing to the stomach. It promotes good metabolic health, protects from free radicals generated by unsaturated fats, helps hormone synthesis.
Saturated fat also helps you feel satiety. This is why I never eat more than I should, because I do not want to. There is no need for portion control. I eat as much as I want and remain skinny. My body tells me when I've had enough. It's also protective of the liver and heart.
Cream is also RICH in fat solluble vitamins. Tons of highly bioavailable vitamin A and D. Decent amounts of vitamin E, and even some vitamin K (cheese is a better source of this). Plus protein.
One of the healthiest things once can eat.
There is nothing to be said about eggs, everyone with a brain knows they are good.
Honey, berries and sugar provide the body with energy. Not to mention the vitamins. Sugar is not in any way an issue here, you are consuming plenty of fat and protein, the blood sugar will not spike.
Such a healthy meal, while it may sound silly, can be eaten for dinner or breakfast. I like it before bed, as it relaxes the body, fills the liver with glycogen, lowers addrenaline, and promotes good sleep.
Now onto the garbage.
All green leaves are absolutely devoid of nutrients.
Do actually look at these charts promoting all of these leaves, and look how little of everything there is. A few % of a bunch of micronutrients.
Maybe at best a decent amount of one or two, but even then they are not very bioavailable. Leafy greens also cause kidney stones. Kale, for instance, has tons of oxalates. The internet is full of anecdotes of vegans with kidney stones.
The only way to actually get the benefits of "leafy greens" is to steam them for hours, to destroy the antinutrients and make calcium bioavalable. Popeye ate canned spinach for a reason.
And it tastes as horrible as it looks.
Cows have very different and long digestive tracts, so they can turn leaves into something nutritious. Same for gorillas, with their massive bellies, adjusted to digesting the leaves.
I'm not even going to begin talking about how many pesticides the industrial process of growing leaves has. If it helps you "reduce your appetite" it's essentially the same as eating paper. Just fast.
A lettuce leaf from someone's garden and tomatoes, cucumbers and some sour cream next to a steak does taste OK occasionally, but it is not real food, it's not a "Superfood" like many idiots claim.
AVOCADOES:
This chart is trying to make the best case for eating avocadoes. Just look at it. A single avocado is around ~200g, so 2x all this.
There is NOTHING of note here. Ice cream, a steak, an apple, anything that does actually taste good is 100x more nutritious than this.
Avocadoes also contain so much unsaturated fat that they can be carcinogenic and hepatotoxic- harmful to the liver. While the total PUFA % of avocadoes is not as high as vegetable oils, they are very high in fat.
Unlike olive oil, which also has many antioxidant properties, and is usually consumed in moderation, avocadoes are usually consumed in large amounts.
Obviously some good guacamole from time to time won't hurt, but this is not a "SUPERFOOD" or something to base a diet on.
FARMED SALMON:
Higher in PUFA than wild salmon. Less vitamins,
They are fed heavy metal filled dirty fish that no human ever eats, caught in extremely polluted seas. Farms are also very small, they end up eating each other's feces.
Farmed salmon also has to be colored before it is sold.
Most pets naturally choose wild salmon when given both wild and farmed.

I'll preface this by saying that I'm not trolling. I'm aware of criticisms againsts McDonald's (meat quality, MSG, Blah Blah Blah, doesn't matter). What I'm about to say is regardless true, & a demonstration of correct nutritional principles
This is something to mention first, they don't use any vegetable oils on the grills. The fries, the sauces (you can just order without if the tiny amount scares you), and a little bit in the buns does exist. But the overall fat profile of a cheeseburger is EXTREMELY favourable.
