First of all:

Everything you need to build a successful YouTube channel is FREE.

In 2025, it's hands down the easiest online business to start with minimal upfront investment.

I just scaled a new channel to $1,000 a day this month and it's something I consistently do.

Step 1: Choosing a Niche

Start in a high demand niche.

High demand niches: Politics, Celeb news, Police cam etc.

- It consistently provides trending topics (like breaking political developments)
- It offers a high RPM

YouTubers:

You have 25 seconds to hook the viewer.

Use these 5 psychological triggers in your intros (to force the viewer to keep watching):

1) The open loop effect

Your brain hates unresolved questions.

It creates a psychological itch that demands scratching.

After analysing 100s of viral videos, I've found that they all one with a mystery or unexpected premise that gets resolved later in the video.

2) Pattern interruption

The human brain is wired to ignore the ordinary and pay attention to the unusual.

It's how we survived as a species.

Your intro needs to contain pattern interruptions that engage and intrigue the viewer.
