[ THEORY ABOUT DAN HENG AND DAN FENG'S 'SIN', BAIHENG, BLADE, JINGLIU & THE PAST ]

These are my own interpretations based on current in-game materials, so please keep that in mind before reading!

It's actually desribed on IL Dan Heng's character story 3. It was confusing at first, however, I think the timeline of the events did not start from the first paragraph, but from the part where he 'observed himself turn into a dragon'.

So, He(Dan Feng) Turned into a dragon, to-

Fight claw-and-fangs against some kind of enemy. Dan Feng was a High Elder, so he had the ability to turn into a Dragon form, unlike other Vidyadharas. The 'Transmutation arcanum' will be relevant and be explained later. So, who is this enemy?

It was mentioned that it was the 'emissary of the God' and the 'God of Life's Envoy'. Which means that they might be fighting against an Emanator of Aeon.
Despite turning into his dragon form, DF was still unable to beat it, to the point that he was even on the verge of d34th-

'...Until a starskiff ran through it and defeated it'. I believe this girl was Baiheng, as she was mentioned before to be a pilot(and foxians tend to become starskiff pilot.) Basically, BH just saved DF's life. This was when Baiheng took out the 'core' power-

Of the enemy, which was described as the 'Sun' of Absolute Darkness, presumably to be a stellaron. After which, Baiheng was 'consumed' by the stellaron(just like Cocolia)only leaving only her hair and few drops of Blood. This might be one of the 'motives' of Dan Feng's sin.

Now we go back to the very first paragraph. It was mentioned that he 'parted ocean's waters', meaning that prob went to the scalegorge waterscape.
Here, he performed 'transmutation arcanum' to turn (what's left of Baiheng) into a 'new life that had not been seen in millenia.'

This 'plan' was executed by Yingxing(Blade) & DF.
Previously, Vidyadharas were able to change the form of any creatures, but it was a long time ago, which was why it was said as 'creating a new life that had not been seen in millenia'. This was the secret of transmutation arc.

I think DF hesitated at first, but hearing what YX said abt BH saving him(DF) n Jingliu's life from the emanator, n seeing YX covered in blood guarding him(DF) from cloud knights who tried to stop them, he(DF) finally urged himself to do it. Here he said: 'I can give it a try'.

So what is this plan and how did the transmutation arcanum work? This was mentioned in IL DH companion story.
To do this, he(DF) had to incorporate other races(possibly what's left of BH) into the flesh of the dragon.
This 'flesh of the dragon', is possibly, his dragon heart.

This is further proved by how Dan Heng did not inherit Vidyadhara's must have cloudhymn healing ability, and only DF's destructive power, and he wasn't able to seal the ambrosial arbor like a High Elder should. Meanwhile, BAILU WAS ABLE TO DO IT, and she inherited healing ability

This plan was initially to revive her into a Vidyadhara, however, this plan was not fully successful. And 'Baiheng' turned into a draconic abomination, a monstrosity.
This monstrosity later on wreaked havoc in the luofu/scalegorge waterscape, forcing Jingliu to slay it.

This was possibly after JL found out that this 'monstrosity' was BH(Bailu); and that the plan was made by YX & DF.
Struck by Mara and out for revenge, she k-worded YX n turned YX into an immortal. I had thought it was DF who turned YX into immortal,

But it being jingliu who turned him immortal makes sense too, bc it was mentioned that The sword Champion(Jingliu), violated the laws of heaven(by turning a mortal into immortal), possibly using the Draught of Draconic Surge medication, which was why Blade had 'Shuhu's Gift',

An emanator of Yaoshi(the Aeon of abundance) since the medicine was created by the Sanctus Medicus. This was further proved by this Mirage Echo of Jingliu wanting to see 'her'(possibly Baiheng who went into hatching rebirth into Bailu).
Here, its mentioned-

That traitor(DF)was already ded, meaning DF was already punished and went into rebirth, which was why I think maybe DF wasnt the one who turned YX into immortal. The reason Blade said DF didnt experience true d34th is because he only experienced d34th through rebirth-

By molting into an egg and turning into a new person like how Vidyadharas do, instead of a 'd3ath' where Vidyadharas perish can never be reborn again(This is a huge concern within Vidyadhara race since they can't reproduce). That is what a true d34th is to Blade.

I had questioned though, why was Jingliu only mad towards YX and not DF? There are two possibilities;
1. Bc DF alr went through rebirth;
2. Bc YX was the 'traitor' who brought the emanator there in the first place n caused BH to D-word(which was also outside yx's prediction)

This suspicion was strengthened by the fact that Jingliu said 'Remember the feeling of d34th, and bring it to them'
Who is 'them'? Is it possible that she meant it for the denizens of abundance, who do not know 'd34th' ? This might explain her animosity towards Blade only.

However, this part abt Blade is just mere question & suspicion due to the fact that JL seem to only attacked him, and I dont have sufficient material for it, so take it with a grain of salt and your own analysis(as you should do with the whole thread)

TLDR; basically, BH died, DF's sins were that he used the transmutation arcanum, which was something supposedly used ONLY for High Elders of Vidyadharas, into reviving BH, it failed and turned into monstrosity, endangering everyone and causing riot. He was punished for those-

After which, JL found out abt BH, went berserk, kllled yx and turned yx into an immortal. After this incident, on year 7380, she escaped through the starskiff, The cloud knights & JY tried to subdue her, we even got an animated short for it. It was reported that she 'vanished'-

From history, never to be seen again. However, at the end of the animation, JY said 'Your gift of Instruction, I repay in this strike' I personally think JY 'repaid' her by letting her go, far away from Xianzhou Luofu. Also, the reason Bailu was wearing the thing on her tail-

Was possibly to control Bailu's 'power', because the Preceptors were afraid of Bailu going berserk again, like the draconic monstrosity back then.

Adding to this, Blade forgot a lot of things.. but he remembered he wanted to gift his bosom friend(Baiheng) a jade flask he made, only to realize BH was no longer there.

I think, at the end of Kafka's character story, he might be going to gift it to Bailu
