THREAD: This is harrowing. Saudi Arabia wanted the names of 6000 anonymous Arab Spring dissidents from Twitter. At first, MBS tried to get their names using EDRs - requests under emergency circumstances. When that proved cumbersome, KSA basically bought Twitter. 1/

They did so by threatening to pull twitter out of their market (biggest in the Middle East) and by offering to invest in heavily in Twitter. They also positioned two spies inside Twitter who helped funnel the personal information on dissidents out of Twitter to KSA. 2/

In 2011, they invested $300M. In 2022, MBS bought that investment for $1.5B, worth $1.9B later that year, making KSA (The Kingdom of Saudi Arabia) the biggest shareholder of Twitter behind Elon Musk. 3/

The two KSA spies inside Twitter INFORMED Twitter that the personally identifying information they were gathering was for the Saudi Government. One received money and gifts from the KSA in exchange for the user data including $300K and a nice job after he fled the US. 4/

Not only that, but the KSA oversaw a digital army of hundreds of Twitter users who hunted for dissident voices, and Twitter KNEW because the FBI confronted Twitter about it in 2015. 5/

Then, within 48 hours of the FBI visit to Twitter, the social media company acknowledged they had "found" the leak to the FBI - proving they knew. The next day, the spy fled the US. 6/

Six months later, Jack Dorsey met with MBS to discuss how they could work together to "train and qualify" Saudi groups on Twitter to do the very same work the two spy employees had done. And just 8 months prior to that meeting, KSA doubled its investment in Twitter. 7/

Once KSA had recruited Twitter, it plotted to kidnap, disappear, and murder multiple dissident voices including the plaintiff's brother, and Jamal Khashoggi. The transnational criminal enterprise of threats to anonymous Twitter dissidents continues to this day. 8/

I recommend you read this lawsuit to understand WHY the KSA and MBS own the second largest chunk of Twitter behind Elon Musk. How involved is Musk? I keep thinking of the photos from the World Cup with Kushner and MBS. What's Kushner's involvement? He just got $2B from MBS. 9/

THREAD: Can we STOP using this WSJ “poll”, please? First, it’s a poll of 600 primary republican voters. But if you LOOK CLOSELY, it was conducted by TONY FABRIZIO and his firm. 1/

From the “about” section at Fabrizio Lee. They’ve left a LOT out of his profile including that he was a fact witness in the Mueller probe of Manafort because Fabrizio worked with manafort in Ukraine to spiff up Russian-backed separatist Yanukovich. 2/

Yanykovich is was part of trump’s “Ukraine peace plan” that included giving large chunks of Ukraine to Putin and installing Yanukovich as the president after he had already been ousted and fled to Moscow. 3/

This is fun. Now trump-paid lawyer John Irving has filed an opposition to Jack Smith's request for a conflict of interest hearing. See, John represents De Oliveira, but also repped three other witnesses in the past who have since come clean. 1/

And just like Stanley Woodward and his representation of Nauta and Taveras (IT Guy), where Taveras was advised by a public defender and then fired Woodward and came clean, it appears that the other three witnesses repped by Irving have gotten new lawyers, too. 2/

So now it appears that everyone who gets advice from a lawyer not paid for by trump has decided to tell the truth and has NOT BEEN INDICTED. lol. Since De Oliveria has filed his opposition to a conflict of interest hearing about his lawyer, there have been a few sealed entries 3/

BREAKING: THREAD: DA Fani Willis responds to Judge Jones’s question: if one (but not all) of the overt acts occurred under the color of Meadows’ office, is that sufficient to move the case to federal court. DA Willis says NO. 1/

First, by the very nature of RICO law, the person who conspired to join the enterprise doesn’t have to commit or agree to commit two acts of racketeering activity himself. (As I discussed with @aronberg on The Beans, ANY two predicate acts committed by ANY member counts) 2/

While GA RICO, unlike fed RICO, requires that 1 of the conspirators
commit an overt act, there is no requirement that the defendant himself commit an overt act because "each actor in a conspiracy is responsible for the overt actions

THREAD: I’m keeping a close eye on the curious case of Harrison Floyd. According to public reporting and court filings, he was arrested earlier this year for assaulting an FBI agent while being served with a federal grand jury subpoena in Jack Smith’s probe. 1/

When he surrendered at the Fulton County Jail, that same day, Willis called Floyd’s attorney for his federal case in Maryland and told him she sent a rep to negotiate a consent bond with Floyd and Floyd refused. There is an audio recording of this call. 2/

A different Virginia-based attorney for Floyd who filed paperwork Monday to rep him in Georgia claimed Fani Willis “let him rot” in Rice Street Jail over the weekend, but Willis provided the audio of her call from the previous Friday to debunk that claim. 3/
