On September 7th, streamer Yoo Hye-di posted a statement around her relationship with "M".

I have read both statements and will post a neutral summary of what these statements detailed,

TRIGGER WARNING, MATURE CONTENT

1. Yoo Hye-di's statement:

Yoo and M were in a relationship from 2021 December to July 2023. Yoo says the series of event on started on 2022 April. Quoting Yoo: "One day, he ejaculated in me without even telling me. I was worried and asked M seriously, ‘What if I get pregnant?"

2. "M frowned and got irritated at me, saying, 'That can't be possible. It doesn’t happen after just one [intercourse]. Why are you talking about something that hasn't even happened yet? Stop talking.'"

Around May 2023, Yoo confirmed that she was pregnant through ultrasound.

3. According to Yoo, "M" avoided conversations or actions around Yoo's pregnancy and personally leaned towards abortion

Yoo detailed several incidents where she apparently felt mistreated or not respected for her pregnancy from "M":

3-1. Quoting Yoo: "He would just joke that 'It’s going to be a hell when the baby is born, I just want to run away' and avoid a conversation about our future plans at all costs."

"M always acted as if he had forgotten that I was pregnant."

3-2. Quoting Yoo: "I had told M, 'You have to be careful about having sex in the early stages of pregnancy. It may put the baby at risk.' But M actually became more insistent on having sex.

He tried to force an intercourse while I was sleeping.."

3-2 (cont) "I woke up in shock and got angry and cried, but he continued his action until the end.

I believe M attempted an intercourse while I was sleeping at least seven times.

I would cry and ask him 'What if the baby goes wrong?' Once, he said 'We can just make a new one.'”

3-3 Attitude towards M's existing son: "M had a habit of saying negative things, such as “I regret having a child; if went back in time, I would never have had a child; having this son son is a big stain on my life; I don’t like my son; I want to run away; I want to die”

4. According to Yoo, the negative events and delay in conversation continued until Week 11 of pregnancy, when

"I showed M the ultrasound photo and seriously asked him to speak out his opinion on this matter, transparently.

It was only then M suggested that I have an abortion."

5. Apparently Yoo was in favor of keeping the child but decided on abortion respecting M's wishes.

However, according to Yoo's recount, M continued to act passively and avoided conversations/actions; not helping out with locking a hospital and "focusing on streaming and gaming"

5 "In frustration, I asked M to take three days off and look up hospitals together. [...] M answered, 'It's okay, apparently you can have abortion by Week 24.' I got angry. Even an unborn baby would feel pain if they have grown up, and he was saying that so carelessly."

6. According to Yoo, the abortion was delayed and Yoo had a surgery on Week 22 of pregnancy

Quote "When the baby was cremated and I showed him the certificate he didn't even pretend to be sad, saying, "Why do it all the way to Jeolla-do..."

6-1. "Even just a few days after the abortion, he lied and when out to drink.

After less than two weeks of recovery, he said he couldn't stand it anymore and pushed to tried to have sex, which led to bleeding and inflammation."

7. According to Yoo, a few months later:

On early 2023, a stalker broke into Yoo and physically and sexually assaulted Yoo, an event that has been documented by media reports.

Yoo recounts "I called to the police and took a statement/examination at the designated hospital ..."

7. "I called M but he didn't listen to me properly and asked me angrily, "Why did you not do anything when something like that happened?" I told him I was at the hospital. I said I would call later for the test, but he didn't even say he would come, let alone show concern."

8. "Two or three days after that, M came to my house.

My body still had dozens of cuts and bruises, and I was in a state of mental shock. But M to have an intercourse [...]

I asked him if it's the right thing to do. M smiled and said 'Yeah, but I can't stop wanting it.'"

9. According to Yoo, M also cheated on Yoo with another streamer, S, sometime after the abortion

Yoo and M are no longer in a relationship.

10. A few hours after Yoo's statement

Jin "Mystic" Seong-jun, a former professional gamer and current streamer posted a statement on his AfreecaTV channel, seemingly responding to some of Yoo's claims.

11. "[On Yoo saying] What if she got pregnant? / I have a personality where I resolve things after they had happened; I said, would that really happen, let's not worry about things that hasn't happened just yet."

12. "[On Yoo asking] What we should do after she got pragnent?" / It wasn't an easy matter, I told her I'm not sure what I want, what is your opinion? But she'd not say anything further, just get angry, saying I don't have enough responsibility, and not share her own opinions."

13. "[On Yoo claiming M said] (his son) is a stain, that M wants to run away [etc] / Everyone became less fortunate when (My son) was born. (My son) is also having a time and I feel bad for him. I did once say I would never have a child or marry if I could turn back the time ..."

13-1 "... But that does not mean I hate (my son) right now."

14. "[On Yoo claiming M had forceful intercourse while she is sleeping, or M said "We can just make a new one"] / I don't remember whether I said "We can just make a new one" but if I honestly said that, I'm a retard."

14-1. "Sexual assault while she was sleeping -- I don't really know about this, but I think we had an intercourse once and she was crying, and I did say sorry"

14.2. "[On Yoo claiming M] did not look up hospitals and kept playing games and streamed / I didn't do that. I made rounds of calls and told her the list of hospitals she can have surgery on. She said she didn't want to do it in these hospitals and the thing got delayed."
