The Biodiversity Map of Andhra Pradesh is a representation of the rich biological and cultural heritage of the state. The design of the map and all its elements borrows its inspiration from Srikalahasti style of Kalamkari.

Preceding few tweets were from this map.

About 60 endemic & rare species of flora and fauna adorn the land and the adjoining sea on the map. The map also highlights eleven major wildlife hotspots & eight tribes of forest-dwellers who have been an integral part of the forests of Andhra Pradesh for centuries.

It is a visual language unique to the land that has led several beautiful narrations including those of birds and animals to temples, homes and everyday lives of its people for ages. It's an attempt to generate awareness about local biodiversity among the folks of the state.

Some species from the Biodiversity Map of Andhra Pradesh inspired from the techniques and forms of Srikalahashti style of Kalamkari- a popular, beloved and age-old traditional art of Andhra Pradesh.
It is a visual language unique to the land, that has led several beautiful narrations including those of local birds and animals to walls of temples, homes and everyday lives of its people for ages.
The approach is an attempt to generate not just awareness about local biodiversity among the folks of the state, but also a strong association and profound connection with wildlife through folk art.
