Поки ФБР шукає, хто міг стояти за витоком інформації з Пентагону,The Washington Post зробили неймовірне розслідування. Репортери знайшли двох людей, які називають себе друзями викривача, поговорили з ними на умовах анонімності - і написали вражаючий матеріал. Переказую основне 🧵 Image
Видання пише, що за витоком документів стоїть “молодий харизматичний чоловік”, який любить зброю і працює на одній з американських військових баз. Протягом тривалого часу він ділився засекречною інформацією із групою онлайн-знайомих на платформі для геймерів Discord.
Друзі чоловіка називають його OG. За їхніми словами, перші таємні документи вони побачили понад півроку тому. OG ділився ними регулярно, у закритому чаті з назвою “Bear vs Pig”, де було близько 25 людей. Багато з них - підлітки, дехто - нібито з Росії та України.

Для тих, хто пропустив передісторію: в мережі опинились знімки із нібито засекреченою інформацію Пентагону про війну в Україні, а також з іншими даними американської розвідки. З них виглядає, що США могли стежити не лише за Росією, а й за партнерами - в т.ч. і за Україною.
Серед іншого, в документах йдеться про критичні потреби українських сил ППО - зокрема в боєприпасах. Також там є інформація про ймовірний час та цілі російських атак на Україну, яку Вашингтон міг передавати Києву для кращої оборони.

‼️ US Department of Justice: 2 Kansas men were arrested today on charges related to a years-long scheme to circumvent U.S. export laws that included the illegal export of aviation-related technology to Russia after Russia’s unprovoked invasion of Ukraine on Feb. 24, 2022.
The defendants, Cyril Gregory Buyanovsky and Douglas Robertson owned and operated KanRus Trading Company, which supplied Western avionics equipment to Russian companies and provided repair services for equipment used in Russian-manufactured aircraft.

I wonder who gave all these interviews throughout the years and refused to acknowledge that Crimea must be unequivocally returned to Ukraine. Navalny's evil twin? Navalny condemned the way Crimea was annexed but didn't denounce the idea of Russia's control over it. 1/4
Volkov says that Navalny has never changed his position, referring to the interview in 2014. But in the very same interview, Navalny said the idea of Crimea belonging to Ukraine was "wrong, unjust, and frustrating." Does this position remain unchanged too? 2/4 Image
